Nothing to see here. Just a little misunderstanding. Y’all just chose to get emotionally involved.

Sounds like a hoax. The police “giving her time” basically says everything that they don’t believe there’s an abductor running around. I guess severe schizophrenic delusions is the other possibility

What year was this. Doesn’t seem like present day CA would actually serve justice??

California is fairly conservative outside of LA-San Fran.

Isn't it a crime to stage something like this? (If in fact it was staged)
Was just thinking about this as it relates to this particular case. The crime may be hard to find here.
Unless they can prove she didn’t see a child on side of the interstate thus filing a false report. Or unless there’s other proof it was staged by her or others. Leaving a running car on side of the road may be a minor crime and maybe some trespassing but what else? It was only inferred she was abducted even if somebody heard her scream. She hasn’t claimed it to my knowledge. Even if she just walked to a hotel and slept the whole weekend is that a crime? Irrational actions aren’t necessarily illegal.
She may not even need to claim mental health on this one. Court of public opinion will be different.

What was the point of this hoax?
I don't know all the details, but on the face of it this seems like another hate crime hoax. There is an epidemic of black people faking hate crimes for attention and/or money. Jussie is only the most famous example, but there are many lesser known ones.
Either that or she is crazy. But this seems too well planned for it to be a mental episode.

You can try to explain it away saying she didn’t like wearing the watch or something like that, but when everything traceable is left behind it seems premeditated, which is not consistent with a mental break.
I don’t disagree with your overall premise about everything traceable being left behind being sus. However I will say that I often take my Apple Watch off when the battery gets low because it vibrates.

Seems a little strong for this case. If I were going to run with your conspiracy theory, I would say the actual international media attention foiled their plan.

OK, let's play she plans to bail out on society for a couple of days.
Like you say, irrational actions aren't necessarily illegal.
But do you think she decided to bail out on society for the weekend at that very moment she was traveling on the Interstate? And to concoct a child on the Interstate story at the same time?
She's got a lot of explaining to do.
Along with explaining why she would have opted to leave wigs, phones, etc along side the highway.

Again, I don't know what happened and Police haven't said much yet. But the whole situation is very suspicious.
I just hope it was a mental health episode and not a planned hoax.

Has Hoover PD announced any kind of PC? Seems really odd that the entire region was searching for her for two days and now law enforcement isn’t going to give any kind of update.

“No doubt. But, I would say it is at least as accurate as the testimony of messageboarders who weren’t there. I have never said there was a car there. Or wasn’t. Just that we can’t see everything in that traffic cam video. But at least based on the news reports, there may have been one. And law enforcement seems interested in that area past the exit sign along the tree line.”
Explain how ANYTHING in my post above was false? God forbid someone say “we just don’t know” when we did not know.
I just can’t understand why lawyers have a such a shitty reputation.

Plus, she came back pretty quickly. The Pappini woman in California was gone for like 7 weeks, and told the police about kidnappers and getting branded after she came back, using up a ton more resources.
If this woman just fesses up to where she went the police night just write it off. They probably saw nothing happened on the traffic cam pretty quickly.

I’m not speaking from a personal perspective only from a criminal responsibility and what can be proved. I’m of the same thought as most. Either mental health or a hoax.

She had takeout dinner in her car for her mom. She was on the phone with someone supposedly talking to the child then screamed. She left all of her stuff- phone, wallet, wig, car....and then where did she go? Walked into the woods and stayed there for 2 days? Was she hallucinating? I've never heard of a mental health episode like this if no previous issues. How did she get home without a phone?
Is this a medical professional you'd want treating you? Administering your meds?

You argued for like 4 pages about the position of the tree line relative to an exit sign (wrongly, I might add) because you were convinced someone parked a car there for a snatch & grab.
You weren’t just saying “we don’t know,” you were refusing to acknowledge facts that contradicted your theory.
