Baronne underpass at the expressway. Crazy woman standing by a tent raging at absolutely nothing, wearing a t-shirt and no pants. Other homeless addicts acting like she’s not even there.

Playing disc golf here in Wichita yesterday had some drugged out homeless dude walk through the fairway while I was about to take my approach shot screaming about a dollar general shopping cart and “only needing some rifles and titties in his mouth.” Was quite the experience.

That’s every morning for anyone living in a city. I’ve seen more rats and wild eyed homeless people than I ever wanted to in my life. It’s the people who I hear talking solo out loud like they’re using earbuds that frighten me. After a while you figure out they aren’t talking to anyone at all.

In Barcelona, my then 8 year old son asked me why the lady in the doorway pooped herself. A junkie passed out in a doorway, no panties, and shite herself. It was one hell of a way to make the "drugs are bad" point on the way to lunch.
