As was JJ, Chase and Clyde.
Burrow doesn’t win jack without those guys.

Very much agree.

That was Perkins. Also, I think his season as a whole was really good but Arkansas wasn’t his only struggle, he was probably even worse against Auburn. He just needs to be consistent

He hasn't a missed a game in the last three years. Not sure why he missed one his freshman year, but something like giving the older guy a shot and not injury is most likely.

I don’t know why people are still trying to compare Daniels to Burrow. Their situations aren’t very similar and they aren’t very similar types of quarterbacks. They transferred from another school to LSU. That’s about as far as the similarities go..

Every year there is a player who comes out of nowhere and has a great year that puts him in good position to win the Heisman trophy. This year is going to be no different but it would not shock me for Jayden to put together a really nice year and make it to NY.

I wanted to bet this too but I waited too long and now the odds are pretty bad for this type of bet imo…
I think Daniels won us several games last year and should be better this year…He has to take some more chances down field…lots of one on one situations where he didn’t let fly…if he gets that part down, it will open up everything else…
If we have another good year, he has a good chance of winning the heisman

You're getting robbed if you bet this at +900. It was +2000 after spring and is still +1100 (FanDuel) to +1400 (BetRivers/Barstool) on the legal books.

The real lotto ticket right now for an LSU Homer is Harold Perkins Heisman Winner at +15000.

Went through and looked at some other longshots I like with an outside shot.

Rattler +6600 (MGM) and +7500 (Bovada) - If he plays like he did against Tennessee and Clemson at the end of last year, this isn't as crazy as it looks.

Bowers +8000 (BetRivers) - New QB, unproven receivers, will be the go to player for UGA on offense.

Quinshon Judkins +8000 (BetRivers) - Probably a throw away bet because Ole Miss would have to be in title contention for their RB to win it.

eta: BetRivers and Barstool use the same oddsmaker so those are interchangeable for betting.

Disagree. True they are different types of QBs, but the situations otherwise are very similar.

And that doesn’t even really matter. My comments were basically toward the people here who think that JD is not capable of making huge progress between last year and this year.

I locked in a bet for J. Daniels for heisman at +1500 on fan duel when it first opened up this year.

I think he has a great chance, if LSU wins against Alabama again and we win 11 games. Beating Bama 2 years in a row would be Epic in Town. It would make Nick Saban look very bad to loose at home. And, I think LSU can beat them. Their QB situation isn’t great and new coaches again. I heard DC wants to rely on a running defense, and we know those days of not having a great QB in SEC to rely on good passing game puts them at a big disadvantage to LSU and Georgia and Tennessee and Texas which is their 2nd game. Even ole Miss has better QB talent than BAMA right now.

There have been many years that the Heisman did not go to the best QB, there’s a lot of bias geographically, politically, and just pure BS involved in who voted.
