Under warranty still but 130 bucks each time you ship
It back.

There was a post on this board a few weeks ago and one poster seems pretty knowledgeable about DIY fixes for the Dolphin.
I’m going to need to replace my power cord after this summer. The cord is degrading from being in the pool water. Going on year three with the robot.

Leslie’s in Baton Rouge fixed mine a few years ago. Was just out of warranty but they got the part warrantied and fixed it. I’m assuming they will do warranty work too.

You Dolphin peeps are funny. You have an electric cord and a motor running around on the bottom of your pool, and you are pissed because of repairs.
My good old water pressure power, Polaris has been jus fine for 10 + years.

Ducky’s in Metairie does warranty work on Maytronics products. Be aware that if you did not buy the machine from them, they will tack on a service fee in addition to what they charge back to Maytronics for the warranty claim. They did not communicate this to me up front when I had mine serviced there, and I took issue with that. It wasn’t much ($30 on a $700-800 claim), so not a huge deal, I just think it’s poor practice to spring surprise charges on your customers.

Service is a bit more complex with the Dolphin, but comparing the performance of a Polaris (I had two previously) and a Dolphin (I have one now) is like comparing shite and ice cream. To each his own, though…

I just replaced the cord on my dolphin last week. Very simple DIY fix. If you decide to do it on your own, save the floats that are on your original cord to install on the replacement cord.

Exactly. I will pass on the garbage product that “still works.” Night and day in performance

other than the recent repairs/maintenance on my dolphin i made back in the spring i absolutely love it. Came back from being out of town for over a week and the pool was disgusting from wind/garbage.
1 hour later after turning on the dolphin it looked perfect again.

Ok I’m at the point now where my cord needs to be replaced.
I see the regular cord for $99 and the swivel cord for $179. Is the swivel cord worth the extra money?
I currently have the swivel cord which does get twisted up after a while.
Any recommendations on websites to order from?

Most definitely the swivel. I made the mistake and went cheap. Cussed that cleaner for about 6 months for being all tangled up. Wife got mad and ordered a new machine. The extra $$ I saved costed me much more in the end.

I've found if you let the cord sit in the sun for a full day, it does release tension and straighten out quite a bit.

Im just here as a new Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus owner and to say that Polaris sucks and the difference is not even close.
My polaris was always stuck, didnt pick up or scrub well, the rooster tail was spraying all over my outdoor kitchen and house windows. The booster pump finally failed and I simply capped off the pipes and went electric Dolphin. No complaints yet.

I replaced mine with the swivel cord and bought it from Amazon. The repair was pretty straightforward and simple. I have not had any problems since replacing the cord. Make sure to keep the floats from the original cord to put on the new cord or I guess you could order new floats.
