Sounds like a dumb business plan to rely on 1 customer to dictate your success.
Sucks for the employees though.

This can’t be true. I was assured that the boycott would be transient (like inflation) and would have no real impact.

Weren't the "above the fray!" moderates on here adamant that the Bud Light boycott would have no lasting effects?

The plant west of Ruston was notified a month or two ago that a lengthy shut-down was coming soon.

Feel bad for the conservative baws but somewhat feel pleasure knowing some of the idiots losing their job voted for the type shite that cost them a job.

Huge opportunity for miller or yeungling to swoop in a be the hero, if they say with the increased demand for their products they are going to start ordering glass bottles from the closing Louisiana and North Carolina plants. Think their sales would increase even more with good press.

I wonder if there will be a study done on this blunder years in the future? What's it gonna take for companies, athletes, etc. to realize to stay the fricking damn blue hell out politics and social issues.
Just sell your product and market it in a way that isn't going to polarize one side.
So fed up with the bull shite.

Well they wanted a war and they fired the first shot.
Innocent people get hurt in wars and that is wrong.
Next we must straighten out our universities, if that is possible.

Hello, Yuengling?

As I read the reports, that plant had two glass furnaces and only one of them has been in operation for several years. they primarily made glass jars which likely were made from clear glass, so I am suspicious they did not make amber glass.
Switching from clear to a colored glass or back is very expensive and time consuming, since the oven must be purged, so plants generally don't switch back and forth. I'm not sure I have ever heard of a glass furnace switching, unless it was a major corporate decision. Also it sounded to me that the plant was losing money.

As long as companies keep employing advertising agencies with woke ideals, their profits will be impacted. Putting into practice the vision of the far left is a sure sign for failure.

Ardagh makes Tito’s and Tobasco bottles. I’ve been inside of the plant quite a few times and never saw bud light bottles. This story doesn’t sound completely accurate…
