I have a daughter and I’ve been to couple of shows and she’s talented and I have some of her songs mixed in playlist.
this one
And we’re falling like snow at the beach
Weird but it was beautiful
Flying in a dream, stars by the pocketful
You wanting me tonight feels impossible
But it's comin' down, no sound, it's all around
Like snow on the beach
Like snow on the beach
Like snow on the beach
Like snow, oh, oh oh

Very early Adele, before the geniuses got a hold of her.

Rita Coolidge was a fave of mine back in the day. I sort of associate her with Nicolette Larson, for some reason.

Pat Benatar puts on a great show still, sounds just like 1985 and doesn’t look that different, no plastic etc.., amazingly.
About time someone mentioned Benatar.
And no love for Belinda Carlisle?

Lots of great lists; I'll try not to duplicate too much...
Floor Jansen
Haley Reinhart
Sissel
Joan Baez
Nanci Griffith
Christina Perri
Suzy Bogguss
Eva Cassidy
Norah Jones
Mary Chapin Carpenter
Melissa Etheridge
If I had to pick one, this week it's Floor. That woman can sing the hell out of anything. Check her out on Youtube Beste Zangers.

Any female list without Pat Benatar is crap.

Debbie Harry in the video for Heart of Glass is pretty awesome.

I know the environment here: if you want to see Joan Jett in a bikini, go here, video for Do You Wanna Touch Me
Sort of changes the interpretation (perhaps) when she says 'touch me there, you know where....yeah yeah yeah yeah'
She did a cover of Dirty Deeds. Slightly different hair and clothing. More like beautiful chick than rocker chick. YouTube
Let's get something straight though - if we're talking about vocal talent and signing ability, or musical ability in total, Taylor Swift doesn't belong on any list. She's just not there.
Ronstadt, Mary J. Blige, Carly Simon, Adele, Melissa Etheridge, Martina McBride, Whitney Houston, majority of Motown...so many are ahead of Swift.
Go listen to Martina McBride on 'Where would you be' or 'Whatever you say'...Swift wouldn't even attempt to cover either of those. Or Melissa Etheridge on 'I'm the only one', Swift could never match that emotion and grit.

But she wasn't a solo artist. She was the lead singer for Blondie
