Thanks! This is what I was looking for! I do not like dining at a chain restaurant or a touristy place that serves over priced and under seasoned food. I would rather go to the place where the locals go and that is owned by locals.

Poches in Breaux Bridge has been there forever. Etoufee, pork backbone stew, rice and gravy. Take an ice chest and bring home some boudin, stuffed chickens and pork chops. It’s mainly a plate lunch place.

Prejean’s used to be legit legit food. We drove over there from BR as a big family dinner there once a year when I was a kid.

Lived down there in the early 2000’s and felt prejeans had a pretty good seafood gumbo. I always liked poor boys for a seafood platter type meal. Loved old tyme for my po boys.Poseidons was my favorite outside of seafood.

As many times as Don’s Seafood Hut gets recommended on here for out-of-towners, it’s chock full of regulars every day of the week.

Since you've used to word 'yummy' twice to describe the food you seek, I can only assume you are an 8 year old girl. Have your parents take you to Chick-fil-A. Remember to get some extra Chick-fil-A sauce.

Don's, Spoonbill, and Social are our gotos when we're in Lafayette. The drink selection at Social makes it our favorite for nights we want a few drinks with a good meal.
