I had one Friday got two Stents then ICU for a couple days, then to gen pop for 24hrs, I've been home for a few days.
I drove myself to a Fire Station and they did a "12 point" within a few minutes I was at the hospital on the table.
I don't feel horrible but I have been taking it easy in the AC. I went fishing from a dock on Tuesday didn't stay out in the sun too long before calling it a day.
What should I expect other than certain death. & an if it taste good spit it out diet.

Sorry to hear that. What were your stats like in general before (e.g., weight, exercise routine, diet)?

How was your health before the attack? You in shape? Any previous symptoms?

Glad you made it through. Go easy on yourself for the rest of the summer and maybe get on your knees to thank your creator for the second chance. Not everyone gets a pass from those…

I’m a Shreveport firefighter and the amount of people that ignore signs of a heart attack is insane. If you are having chest pain, shortness of breath, pain radiating from chest to left arm or neck, go get checked. Good job OP for taking it serious and stopping by a fire station

You're fortunate. I had two stents put in the widow maker in 2015 and luckily avoided a heart attack. My GP saved my life for sure.
You're going to be on blood thinners for a year or more. A simple scratch will bleed for hours and you'll bruise easily. Other than that do what the doctor say and change your diet and your habits if needed. Best of luck to you!

No more steak. Fish, fruit, vegetables, and oatmeal in the morning.

You gotta make some lifestyle changes. Clean up your diet, cut back in drinking, and once your doctor clears you for exercise get on that too. If you have sleep apnea get that fixed too.

That’s interesting, did they say it was posterior MI? How many different 12 leads did they run on you at firestation?

quote:Sad thing is the symptoms you described didn't really fit the bill. Thankfully I called a FD friend of mine then argued with him about going to ER then came to a happy medium by going to FD to get BP checked he suggested the "12 point" probably saved my life
