1- 1991 - You always remember your first. I was a wide eyed 13 yr old LSU super fan that thought winning a natty in anything was a pipe dream.

2- 2023 - The resurgence of the program under a couple of generational players.

3- 1996 - Warren's walk-off - screamed like a girl

4- 2000 - Cresse walk off - Skips last one

5- 2009 - The First one under the new 3 game format. Last one in the old Johnny Rose.

6- 1997 - Blasting Bama in the title game after losing to them 28-2 earlier that year

7- 1993 - The Long Beach State comeback. Came back out of the losers bracket.

What say you?

I'm a relatively new baseball fan all things considered. I remember 2009, but I wasn't really a fan. I just liked LSU and was watching as a casual fan. So 2023 for me. I moved with my now wife to Baton Rouge in 2016, and my love for LSU took off then. Kind of why last night was so big for me, my first taste of REAL disappointment with LSU baseball was that 2017 CWS loss to Florida.

I moved here in 94, so 96 was my first experience. Had just made it home from my own baseball game and got to see Warren hit the bomb. 97 was awesome. 2000-2001 was my freshman year at lsu, so that one was fresh. 09 was unexpected.

But this one will always be special. I missed game two in the hospital with my grandmother. She passed yesterday morning. Getting to watch that game last night was great, and a much needed pick me up.

97 is too low because that team was dominant all season and it was expected. The apex of Gorilla ball. Somebody correct me if im wrong, but i think we hit a HR in every game and every non-pitcher on the team hit at least 1 HR. It was like watching 2019 LSU football. Kicked arse all year.

This one because I attended my first CWS after following lsu baseball for 40 years. Row 10 straight behind home plate. Trip of a lifetime!!!

Warren's walk-off

Undisputed GOAT season. I was at LSU and going to all the regular season games. And the greatest baseball championship ending of all time!

2009 Because I had a relative on the team, and it was an important one to show LSU was a program and not just Skip.

1996 Because it was the walkoff

2023 - This was well on its way to #1. Our Omaha bracket was a thing of beauty with classic games against Wake Forest and two tough ones against the Vols. But then the Florida series, despite a nice first game, got high school sloppy in the last two games.

I have drunk too many beers in my lifetime to align years with teams so I register them by moments:

1. Morris’ home run with Miami players face-down in the grass as he rounded the bases.

2. Cresse’s seeing-eye single and Theriot throwing helmet into the air.

3. 2023 will be a blend of Tanks and Beloso home runs, Floyd’s 17 strike outs plus beating #1 Wake twice.

4. Blair Barbier asking “do you believe?” and hammering a HR over the left field fence.

5. Doug Thompson just willing the team to a victory

I was born in La but pretty much grew up in Ga. I wasn’t into lsu baseball as much as many for the simple fact that it was an obscure niche sport that only seemed to be televised once it got to Omaha. So, after my high school graduation ceremony, I can home and got to see the 91 Natty on tv. As far as favorites, WM will always be 1, but last night is a tie with the Cresse-Stanford one.

93' was my favorite, not only because LSU won but I had 3 friends I went to school with who played in the CWS that year. I graduated from Airline HS in 90 and played ball growing up with these guys. Of course Todd, David Martin aTm, and Skipper Sharp Oklahoma State. It was awesome watching them play on TV.
91- because it was the 1st one
96- watching the Miami players cry on the field was something to see
2023

Just because of my age, Warren walk off game was the greatest, but the overall season and run of 2023 is probably my favorite. To sit comfortably virtually the entire championship final game and drink and laugh and watch some of these guys thrive in their final game as a tiger was special.

1991 was amazing. I was in a Gainesville tavern just off the UF campus. Regular season. LSU beat UF. I went wild. Buddy reminded me yesterday I nearly got us killed (exaggeration).

1997 was at a wedding. Missed the walk-off. Good friend was marrying David Eckstein's sister. David was the one who told me of the walk-off. UF had lost and he flew back for the wedding.

2009 watched so many games with my wife (who passed 3 years ago). Though she was a UF fan, she also loved LSU baseball. We watched LSU super regionals in Vegas on our honeymoon in 93. We are both from Lafayette/Carencro. She really was a fan of Mikey Mahtook. I miss her, but she would be celebrating this win!

For me its :

1. 1996 - The first year I really paid attention my dad and I Jumped into the pool immediately after. Was one of the best memories I have.
2. 2023 - Speaks for itself
3. 1997 - This year was just special with all those HRs.
4. 2009 - Brought back the magic
5. 2000 - listened to this game in an empty house with only the radio because we were moving into our new house.
T6. 1993 & 1991 - I was too young I wasn't paying attention yet.

My first memories of LSU baseball are listening to the 1989 A&M regional when they came out of the loser's bracket and beat no. 1 Aggy twice to reach Omaha. Pat Garrity TYFYS
quote:

3- 1996 - Warren's walk-off - screamed like a girl
Everyone remembers Morris's homer but not him throwing out a guy at the plate or Ray Wright robbing Miami of a homer. Also, I was with friends at a party in Ocean Springs and the place just went bananas. Hit my head on a ceiling fan (low ceiling). Will never forget that as long as I live.

7- 1993 - The Long Beach State comeback. Came back out of the losers bracket.
Brett Laxton FTW and this was my senior year.

I was on the Reveille sports staff and got to watch a lot of baseball that year. It was awesome. Listened to it on the radio in my Oakbrook apartment.

2- 2023 - The resurgence of the program under a couple of generational players.
So rewarding to see LSU return to the pinnacle. As GOATed as Crews and Skenes are, it was phenomenal to see literally the entire team contribute in the final game. Everyone had a hit, had an RBI, and scored a run. What a stat!
quote:

4- 2000 - Cresse walk off - Skips last one
Cresse drove me crazy because he was such a dead pull hitter, and after he struggled that CWS he finally pulled one in the right spot.

5- 2009 - The First one under the new 3 game format. Last one in the old Johnny Rose.
Louis Coleman was FILTHY.
quote:

6- 1997 - Blanking Bama in the title game after losing to them 28-2 earlier that year
Four nattys in seven years cementing LSU as the premier baseball program.
