Embrace debate: Skenes should have been saved for CWS

Pitching has been on fire. Hurd proved to be capable. Guidry, Cooper. Pitching was going to be tight all game regardless. But definitely could have rode the wave as of late. Sure, records, etc. but Now here we sit, in the CWS Championship, not able to put our best pitcher on the mound. 92% chance win rate with him out there. I get it, he wanted it, we all wanted it. But now here we are, tired and not able to represent to our full extent. Maybe this is more of a CWS schedule rant. It’s just extremely disadvantages to have Florida fully rested with their entire bullpen ready to go. And LSU is penalized for having a legendary CWS so far. Thoughts?
It’s the same concept as Tre bunting. Regardless of who it is, it was the right logistical move. Just didn’t work that time.
I’m talking logistics, statistics, money ball type stuff. Deeper than fandom. Percentages and situational statistics.

I can safely speak for every other person on this site and say we weren't getting to the Finals without Skenes yesterday. As good as Hurd was and as good as everyone else could have been, Wake would have scored a run somewhere.

Imagine if we had not gone with Skenes and lost what today would look like.

This is it. In a win or go home game, you want your best out there. Skenes is the best LSU has, you have to have him out there. He being the player he is, wanted to be out there.

Everyone take off the fan glasses and look at it from a logistic perspective. I know it’s hard. Just saying. Would LOVE to be heading into Saturday with skenes. And the. So proud of the job our bullpen did last night getting there. So are y’all saying you have NO CONFIDENCE in the amazing bullpen this whole regionals and CWS? cmon we are better than this

To say we would have not won without skenes is saying you don’t have confidence in the bullpen.
