Dude is elite next level shooter type.
His TEAM defense is very questionable. His on ball is mid but he plays hard.
But when you have a guy that can move around and shoot, and is an even deadlier spot up shooter, you got someone that can play for you for 15 years.

Pros- Great jump shooter in every facet. Spot up shooter, off movement, I feel like he does a great job in different scenarios. One of those guys that can get squared when he shouldn’t be able too, does a good job getting his shot off in a variety of situations. Not a guy that is going to create on his own but has shown flashes as a straight line driver off close outs. Really good in transition getting to his spot.
Cons- As good of a spot up guy as he is doesn’t have much of an off the dribble game. Below average finisher at the rim, doesn’t really self create, not a good cutter. Not a passer, really low ast%. Does a good job chasing guys defensively but doesnt really have a defendable position in the league. May struggle to stay in front of smaller guards and gets bullied by bigger wings. Not switchable. Doesn’t really have a projectable frame either. If he struggles to catch on in the league it will be because of the defense. Struggles off ball, from defending to boxing out to rebound.

It’s cool. Either way I eat crow and we play well or it goes as expected, guys get hurt, and we fall apart again. Griff will be fired after that.
Sadly we wasted an opportunity to get a franchise guard who wanted to be here. But at least the 2025-2026 drafts should be very good. Next years is arse unless some guys take a huge leap.

we got the best shooter in the draft. that’s never a bad thing. it’s definitely not when your the Pels who seem to have the least amount of shooter in the NBA yearly.

This board is full of cucks. Griff is the biggest pussy GM in the league. Look at what boston has done. Turned Marcus smart into KP AND 2 1sts. You think griff would ever do something like that?

Smart just had one of the worst seasons of his career and Brad Stevens did that. I honestly think griff would have gotten KP and 2 1sts for BI or Zion. He is THAT bad of a GM

You need to chill. I would have rather taken Bufkin but melting like this over taking Hawkins is absurd. The guy will probably never be a star and may never be a high end starter, but he’s got a plus NBA tool and can play in the league. You need to save these melts for when we inevitably destroy our future on a dumb all-in move
