Cmon DJ LFG. Man I hope DJ is there in the mix on Sunday.

Edit: My god I’ve never seen so many commercials on a major. This is ridiculous.

This might as well be the Taxslayer.com Invitational or something

There have been so many majors where the low 1st round score is -6 and the winning score is like -7. The course is going to get harder. Also, most people projected the score to be near double digits or over. There were guys on the golf channel saying -11.

I don’t mind them rolling back the ball, but god damn these fairways are 80yds wide and the rough doesn’t look that penal except around the bunkering. Put these guys on an old school 7200 yard course with tree lined fairways that are 25-45yds wide with 4 plus inch rough and firm arse greens. Rahm would run out of clubs to break,

Me too.

I also may shed a tear if somehow Lefty pulls it off.

DJ and Rory both a have a huge advantage shooting this low in the afternoon groupings today. They will ramp up the greens tomorrow and the sun should come out later.

Late/early pairings have the big advantage

It's always back to reality with the number of commercials.
After getting spoiled with the Masters limited commercials, it is painful to watch golf on NBC

Great sign

DJ is 98th strokes gained putting and near the top of the leaderboard

Bad sign

Phil is 3rd in strokes gained putting and only could manage -1 with that

McElroy is definitely not the stone cold killer-closer type.

He has taken the gas in quite a few 4th rounds, just don't have time to list them all.

p.s. His last failure to fire in the final round was the Open at St. Andrews. That Aussie guy just took it from him.

Only two golfers in the field have more, and one of those guys is 20 years older….There aren’t any tiger “stone cold killers” out there. Not even Brooks.

DJs ball striking today was absolutely stupid. 105th in strokes gained putting and he fired a 64. Jesus

Not a single golfer over 90th in strokes gained putting shot under par besides DJ, and he shot -6

That putt on 18 by Rory for bogey was huge. That was a tournament saver for him. Great mental toughness there.

Because it’s no longer an arguments. No threat to win.
