I picture Rory having a shite ton of wedges into tricky greens this week

So, hold your butts if you’re a Rory fan

This course should bump Rory's odds up to win.

The wider than normal fairways and distance should be a big advantage for him. Missed fairways has killed him in majors, but this course is going to help with that. You look at some of these fairways and it looks like a St. Andrews fairway.

I still don't think he wins because of his putting, but this course gives him a bigger advantage over most of the major courses in recent memory.

I didn’t realize how long this place is when I said that. There will actually be more long irons into greens than we typically see. I wouldn’t be shocked to see him in it on Sunday.

Spieth is going to win, though.

You always try to make arguments with me trying to tell me how good Rory is good. I know he's one of the best players in the world. I know he can be a good putter.

i don't think he is going to win and I think it's going to be his putter that does him in. I don't need stats telling me something I already know.

I mean you argued with me when I said betting on Rory to not win a major for the past nine years was dumb. Even though if I did that I'd be right 36(?) times out of 36. That can't be argued. It's 100% a fact. Somehow you still argued against it.

No, I said betting on him never winning again is dumb

And betting on his putting doing him in this week, when his putting has been fantastic, also isn’t a smart play. Reauxl nailed it earlier, if something does in Rory, it will be his wedges. His strokes gained there has been extremely poor recently

These will be absolutely the slowest rounds ever, probably close to 6 hours.

Pace of play is going to be absolutely brutal. Long par 3s and some short par 4a

AND that betting on him not to win over the past nine years was dumb. You named all the top 10's he had (even though I said betting on him to be in the top 10 was a safe bet). You were talking about being near the top and "letting the chips fall where they may." So it was stupid not to bet on him. It's actually been a smart bet for a long time. Revisionist history for you. And FWIW, I said in the "Who will win more majors going forward, Brooks or Rory" thread, that Rory will probably win one more, but I doubt any more than that.

I didn't say bet on his putting. I'm saying that what I THINK will be what does him in. And even further it's probably just one round of bad putting. Like I said, I know he's been a good putter/gets hot and I'm going against recent events. It's not going against a decent amount of his majors stats though.
