I would have to move. Or we would need enough fans in the house to make a Poison video

entergy is lying.
Natural gas prices have dropped.

Good lord that's cold. Maybe our house cools better, but we are comfortable at 74 during the day and 73 at night.

Don’t try to think this is something new. I remember way back in the 1970s, there were always PSAs on TV and radio urging people to save energy by cutting AC to 78, taking shorter showers, driving 55, etc.
Don’t go believing you’re special and they are just picking on you.

If I set my thermostat to 78° I will soon need medical assistance from some first responders.

They probably also recommend everyone buy an electric car and crash the grid

In less it comes from the CIA. I don’t believe it.

Let's start off by seeing the thermostat setting for every Entergy Office as well as the home thermostats for all Entergy executives. We can start with Diggs-Miller's thermostat.

Worth it.

Did they bother to alert old people that 78 (especially with heart issue) may kill them?

I set mine at 78. When it's above the mid 80s and into the 90s 78 feels cool. I think most buildings set it too low during the summer. If you work at a law firm or bank then yeah set it low since you are expected to dress well. But at home I'm in shorts and often not wearing a shirt.

In a few years, the headline will be “Entergy explains why they set your smart thermostat to 78° this summer”.
