He was already going to be indicted.
One can argue that the Biden investigations were started to redirect public attention away from the many, many inevitable charges that trump faces.

The MAL raid was done to achieve a few objectives IMO.
one, give the feds an excuse to "investigate" their chief political threat and selectively leak.
two, to hold a metaphorical gun to Trump's head in the event the laptop scandal gains legal traction.
three, to keep republicans on defense as they try to steal another election.

They were already going to indict Trump with one or all of the 5 cases going against him. This just may speed things up on a case or two.

It's not a bad idea for somebody to be thinking about a plan B. I think it will be difficult to elect a man who is indicted and likely in trial by 2024 (he is already indicted for felony counts). Imagine nominating this person facing felony charges for espionage or whatever the hell they come up with? I know it makes zero difference to 75% of the people who post on this board.
The other wrench in the gears here is that he will be indicted in NYC and DC. I'd hate to have to find unbiased juries there. The dems can get convictions there for anyone they want out of the way. Anyone.

Yeah, they apparently have tapes of Trump acknowledging he has classified material he can't share. That goes to state of mind with Trump knowing material is not declassified. This shite is a mess. Don, why did you have the documents?

Because he is the president. Not the VP but the POTUS which has the RIGHT to obtain all classified documents. He also has the right to declassify any and all documents at his discretion. Unfortunately the VP does not have that power. I wonder who broke the law and who didnt?

I know. I know what you are saying. Do a little research. You can't say I declassified all the documents and then tell someone later you can't share the document because it is classified. You don't see the problem there? Let's wait and see if he is indicted.

I have no doubt that Biden broke the letter of the law in the same manner Pence did. Biden will get the Pence treatment. Deep State ain't going to do anything to upset the Biden applecart. It sucks.
