A former California Dollar General cashier says she's been fired after hitting an alleged shoplifter with her car. As they each try to retrieve the scattered items, they exchange insults. Jessie Sotto says the bike rider shoplifted several items from the store and fled on his bike. She was so fed up with shoplifting, Sotto decided to go after him. However, Sotto says she never intended to hit the cyclist.

Good and honest retail employees are fed up with shoplifters. They abhor the company's indifference. They abhor the indifference of some of their coworkers. So Dollar general just fired a loyal and honest employee.

Why is it so bad to do violence on these people? "Oh I never meant to hit him i wouldn't hurt anyone."
Well, maybe you should

I love this.
Of course, there will be the clerk was doing too much comments.
See here is the thing though, had the person not shop lifted, they never would have been in the situation to get hit by the car.

I went to academy on Airline in BR on Saturday. I didn’t see any shopping buggies. I asked an employee and she said they were stolen by the homeless.
I told her they should take some of the guns from the sporting goods and shoot them.

Neither loyal or honest if the company is indifferent to shoplifting. Loyal and honest is complying with employer policy and it doubtful that running down a shoplifter with your car is in the employee handbook. If you disagree with a policy of your employer go elsewhere or comply.
Was she working in the store when the shoplifting took place? So she left the job, hopped in her car, followed and ran down the shoplifter when she was on the clock. Damaged HER car in the process...not exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer....

I mean, I hate that stores can't defend themselves against theft. We live in a clown world.

So can I go into any retail store and just take whatever I want, and when I get prosecuted sue the retailer for racial discrimination in the enforcement of contracts. They let minorities just take shite for free, but my arse has got to pay??? Seems unlawfully discriminatory on some particular basis….

Why in the world would you shoot a shopping buggy?

At this point I'm paying for my items I shop for out of principle. I could just walk away with them without anyone batting an eye.
Upside down clown world. Thank a Democrat voter today.

I have come to the conclusion that if it weren't for shite being illegal most people would commit all manner of attrocities daily. Most people do not refrain from stealing because it is against the law, they do so because it is immoral. Yes, anyone is capable of stealing...given that retail stores do not particularly care it is apparently easier than ever. It is still morally wrong...and that is the barricade for the vast majority of people.
I have often thought that people were a lot like a cat. Cats are terrified of their own shadow because they are pyschopaths...they will kill for pleasure even when their belly is full. As such they assume everything thinks that way. Folks use locks and carry weapons for the same reason....because they know what sort of ill mannered shite they would get up to if it weren't for locks and weapons.

This is what CEOs don't get. They " want" community and dedication and ____
In their business..
But don't back their employees in these cases. Sure the stuff is insured, but the CEOs certainly don't live there. They don't have to deal with the neighborhood rot created by " its insured" mindset. This employee recognizes it's just not right to let someone else walkout without paying - it's demoralizing.
