Only my mom’s side was…dad’s side came over from Europe after (he still grew up only speaking Cajun French though).

Last time I was in Canada I asked every one I met to apologize for kicking us Cajuns out of Nova Scotia. No one would. They all had some lame excuse like, "that was a long time ago" or "I didn't do it." Good luck in trying to get them to pay up.
