Well…there has been an odd group that have wanted to prove this team has been overrated all season but even so I think it’s understandable many are frustrated after these last 2 weekends coupled with how tonight was going

No, that isn't it.

They just set expectations through the sky for this team, and not unreasonably so, and of late they're playing far under those.

That's hard to cope with as a fan, and one of the most common ways to deal with it is to turn on them.

So they'll turn on the team out of frustration, and then come back when there's success. We all do it here and there.

It’s goes by many names but it all comes down to EGO. I’d rather be right above all else.

No, but some people can make an honest call on what the team is at the moment.

I think it’s more that many people had championship expectations for this team and we’re now realizing that it probably isn’t going to happen. That, and the team just hasn’t played well the past few weeks.

You’re right. The same posters refuse to acknowledge the impact of the pitching injuries but will argue with you at length about South Carolina missing one starter and tell you how they should have been number one bc they split a home series with us while dodging Skenes and a game 3.

It’s weird.

There’s a real shitty subset of this board who bask in it when we lose and don’t perform and Jay makes wrong decisions. They live for it. They always disappear during wins. They unfailingly re-emerge during losses and bullpen failures.

I’m convinced they prefer to lose so they can pull that “I told you so” bullshite. “I’ve been saying it all along.”

frick them. We all know who they are. These are miserable fricks. It goes beyond and is different than most of us being very disappointed in past few weeks of baseball and acknowledging that our bullpen is our weakness.

These frickers bask in it. They love it. They don’t deserve to ever share in a win or any potential future championship run.

They’re life’s losers. I cringe that our players may read their comments. I hate them. And they probably hate me and the majority of us back. frick them.

Nah, some folks on here probably have actual baseball coaching experience or have watched the game long enough to see a weakness.

Struggling against State and UGA just before the start of post season simply doesn’t work for a long post season run.

If LSU makes it to Omaha I’ll be stunned.

And BTW, I’m not cracking on the players or coaches, it’s just baseball. It’s a different game where getting hot at the right time makes all the difference.

Nope. Would much rather win. Pitching has just been so embarrassing.

Most of the negative posters are younger guys with little in the way of baseball knowledge. I’ll admit the bullpen makes me nervous as hell but this is a really good team overall. Baseball isn’t like football and that’s what kills some of these guys. They think if you lose a series you’re garbage and you are going to get hammered in the postseason. Two series losses in a row and the think it’s time to throw in the towel.

Baseball is a very difficult game. Going wire to wire is rare. Ask TN with all their talent the last 3 yrs. Teams get cold. Pitchers and hitters have slumps. As long as we keep amassing talent we will compete for championships.

As popular as this message board is, it's still a very small representation of the fanbase. The sooner you stop taking what people say on here seriously, the better off you'll be. Watch and enjoy the games. Ignore this bullshite as best you can.

Says something that completely can’t be proven one way or the other. Then says:

I thought our fan base was bad during football. Y’all have proven me wrong

It’s the Td way.
Actually it’s people in general today … the need to be right is strong.
