I haven't had a Bud Light in over ten years. Don't plan on ending my ban on them any time soon.

This. Or Stella. I'm done with all their shite. Plenty of other options.
Honestly, the main reason I'd get some Bud heavy was nostalgia. Never liked the shite, but loved those old Clydesdale commercials they'd play around the holidays.
"Here comes the king. Here comes the big number 1!"
Not no mo mf'ers.

A Baptist boycott of Disney started in the 90s when the company extended health benefits to partners of gay and lesbian employees, had Gay Days, Ellen came out on an ABC program, etc.
In 1997, the first year of the boycott,, attendance at the Magic Kingdom park grew by 3 million. It kept growing and set records.
The Baptists quietly caved a few years later. Now they spend $$$$ to take their kids to Disney and support the gay health benefits.
Pretty soon, they’ll forget about this tempest and be drinking Bud Light while they do it.

quote:Exactly. Then I find it even more hilarious how people are boycotting bud light to only continue dranking shitty piss water light beer. I'm going to boycott this one brand of shitty piss water light beer, to only switch to this other brand of shitty piss water light beer. If you going to drink a beer, at least go with an IPA or dark beer for some actual flavor besides shitty piss water.
counterpoint: why would one willingly have bought Bud Light before this fiasco?

It’s not a boycott.
A boycott would end with the groups “demands” being met or some compromise made.
Bud Light did the same thing other companies have done - but did it at the worst time and with the worst optics.
- We are tired of being taken for granted. (Special can or special day/month for everyone else)
- We are tired of being told we are evil and “out of touch” (Media) when we are just going to work and taking care of our loved ones.
- We are tired of being lied to and manipulated and told that we don’t have enough common sense to know what is good for ourselves (COVID lockdowns)
- We are tired of being told we are evil for not wanting to celebrate diversity with everything from toothpaste to males advertising tampons. (We have bigger problems in our lives).
So when a corporate executive goes on a podcast and tells us we are “out of touch” and “in decline”.
F. You Bud light.
I am actually enjoying this and can’t wait for the next brand that I currently support to make the same mistake.

The more people try other beer the more people will realize bud light is crap and never go back.

AB should’ve just admit it was a mistake and say LGBT slogan/propaganda will never be on their labeling ever again. Instead they took a half arse approach to pointed the finger and try to swept things under a rug.
Again, why are western companies bending to the woke mob? You would never see this in companies in the east.
They tried that and all it did was backfire by predictably drawing the ire of "the community" because BL wasn't fully backing them. Always a dumb idea to abandon your current base for a spiteful, emotional base that has a notorious history of abandoning, then crusading against, any entity that doesn't publicly worship them 24/7.

A. It’s not good beer
B. See A.
Unless it’s free and cold, I would not be drinking anyway.

Bud Light is a commodity, with plenty of alternatives. Mickey Mouse and the Disney princesses aren’t. Terrible analogy.

The boycott should end when AB goes out of business, the CEO and entire advertising dept. is jobless and disgraced and no other company would dare try such a thing in fear of the same treatment by rank and file Americans.
The folks at the top of these companies hate you and everything you stand for. All the while you fill their bank accounts by buying their products. I hope another AB product never gets purchased and the company fails completely.

The vast majority of beer drinkers are just brand loyal to a brand they may nor may not even know why they are loyal to it.
Maybe it's what their room mate, dad, fishing buddy or co-worker always drank. Maybe it was on sale one day. Maybe it's what was on draft at the first bar they started hanging out regularly and always seemed to be on special.
Most beer consumed in this country is domestic mass produced lager and is not chosen for its taste but rather price, brand loyalty, convenience and of course now so their penis doesnt turn inside out into a vagina.

honestly, i'm stunned we are still talking about a fricking can of beer all these weeks later...

Haven’t touched Bud Light in a decade because it’s awful.
