Absolutely not.

Episode 8 was solid. Even Common was bearable

I guess I'm the minority because I thought the first episode dragged terribly, has been solid since, and pretty good in eps 7-8.

I've enjoyed most of this show, but I cannot agree with this.

The more Common has been pushed toward the center, I feel the worse he has been.

Yeah I saw the comment above about how Common was better in this episode before I watched it so I went in optimistic but he was just as bad as ever (if not worse). Just don’t see how he got this role.

Just caught up on the last couple episodes... Spoilers:

So, reveal in the first one was that Tim Robbins was a the bad guy. Uh, no shite we all saw that coming.

Reveal two in the most recent episode was taht the screen in the cafeteria wasn't actually a real camera to the stars. Uh, no shite.

I mean, they spent 8 hours to those two reveals which we knew by the second episoe. This show fricking sucks.

Have we discussed the birds in the hard drive footage are flying in the same pattern as the birds we saw on Holston’s journey outside?

What is the key chain looking thing with the number 18 on it that's flashing red at one point then not flashing red in a later scene?

Not sure, but it would be related to the hard drive I would guess. The hard drive serial number was also 18.

I see a big cliffhanger coming this week. Could be one of two things or both. We’ll see. Should be good if they land it.

Is there anyone that can explain how shows like this (streaming platforms) are scheduled for air?

E7,8,9 were released on June 8th, June 16th, and June 22nd.

Eight days between 7 and 8, then six days between 8 and 9. There are no significant holidays this month to schedule around like Xmas or July 4th.

I know every Monday a new episode of X on a regular network will air during the season on Hulu, therefore I watch it. Checking into this thread was the only reason I realized there were a bunch of episodes of Silo I for sure should not start watching at midnight. The AppleTV+ app is exceptionally bad on Windows, which contributes to me not opening it daily to see what's new like at least Netflix and Hulu.

ETA: DV'd myself for not doing data verification and being a dumbass.

That seems weird. The new episodes air every Thursday night for me.

That's probably my bad, I was using date data from Reelgood, not IMDB. Because I watch on a computer and not a TV, even though I pay for all of these services, I can't watch things when everyone else seems to be able to. Why, I don't know, but I presumed Reelgood would be accurate on show data as it was platform independent.

I’m usually not one to notice this and Apple’s production is usually top notch, but holy shite the scene of them in the grain field was horrific. Was there really no way to actually film that? CGI’ing grain stalks (or whatever those things are called)? Yikes, looked so bad

I’ll make it even worse for you. That wasn’t grain. That was a cornfield, a cornfield designed by someone who’s never seen an actual cornfield

Last few episodes have been great I loved the ending and am curious to how it's going to play out next season. And who knew the heat tape would play such a crucial role

Not a spoiler, but a question.
Does anyone know if this first season is based on the first book?
If I wanted to read ahead, would I start with the second book?
Thanks
