You should check out the LSU gear with gloves and dusting in Colby Latiolais's Crawfish Boil video.

Creole jambalaya with tomatoes is superior to the dried out cajun stuff.

I disagree. But that is not what I’m talking about. I didn’t say anything about tomatoes in Jambalaya.

I don’t think that as a collective, but I think the losers that go out of their way to care about UL, are in fact losers

This right here.

There's plenty of diehard LSU fans who don't care how any other program in Louisiana brands itself ATHLETICALLY because they know in the end, it really doesn't affect LSU.

However, there are also plenty who are just insecure or are loser hanger-ons who allow the athletic branding to live rent free in their heads. It's really a weird thing that some government-funded psychology program should study.

Hate to break it to you but there are Cajuns way more Cajun than you who do the 'soak in the cooler' method and that's common (lafayette area especially). And that has been one of the better tasting crawfish I have ever had.

I am aware of this, baw. I too have had lots of dusted crawfish over the years. Some were really good, some were awful. But over the years, I find soaking to be vastly superior for many reasons that I won’t get into. But that was not my point, which was that Cajuns are passionate about their cooking, as can be seen in this thread.

there ain't any single right way to boil crawfish. different strokes for different folks.

This is 100% correct. However, there is one wrong way to do it and dusting the damn bugs is it!

Actually we are a national R1 school now. If you get out of your Baton Rouge bubble every once in awhile, you would know that.

If a guy is wearing gloves for crawfish I just assume he likes bud light now

Never dusted crawfish until I worked for a catering company in Carencro. We went all over the state including numerous trips to BR. Always got a weird look from people when we did it but there was never a time when they didn't enjoy it. Anybody who thinks that dusting is gross has never had it done the right way.

Have to let them steam in an ice chest or steamer for about 15 minutes. If you eat some that were done right it would change your mind

I love all the ULL and Lafayette people in the comments saying stuff like “Don’t tell people from Acadiana how to cook”

They think their bubble of Louisiana is the only part that knows how to cook.
