Looking for a true pocket pistol. Would rather a 9mm but they all seem too big.

The Ruger LCP and M&P Bodyguard seem about as large as I want to carry in my pocket or in my waistband. But I’d prefer a 9mm if possible but I don’t think anyone makes one as small as the .380’s.
Any 9’s I’m not aware of? I’m leaning towards the Ruger LCP Max right now because of the magazine capacity plus small size.
I guess small size, weight, and comfort are my major concerns.

Sig p365 is a legit 9mm pocket pistol. It can easily be carried in your front pocket.

I don’t know of any as small as the 380s. A lot of the newer small 9mms can definitely be carried in pockets, but it’s not as ideal as a LCP.
I wouldn’t hesitate to pack a .380 with the right ammo if I really just wanted to pocket carry.

If you are worried about the effectiveness of the round Hornady Critical Defense is pretty darn good in .380. It is what my wife carries.
I like the small sigs, the 938 and 365 for 9mm. I don't think I will ever carry in a pocket, but if I HAD to it would probably be a J frame. I DON'T RECOMMEND REVOLVERS but if you had to carry and a pocket was your only choice an air weight S&W practically disappears in a pocket.

I tried an unloaded P365 in my front pocket and it was noticeably heavier and larger than the LCP Max.

I tried a bunch, ended up with an LCP. Maybe some bigger guys can carry the micro 9s in a pocket, but I can't.

I have a Sig p238, loaded with 100gr JHP from Fenix Ammo. I use a 1791 IWB holster, can just clip it in and go. No printing no matter what shirt. It and my Glock 26 (Black Arch IWB) pretty swap back and forth.

As a few others have mentioned kahr cm9. I carried mine pocket carry for a while but gave it up just because even though it can be done it wasn’t as comfortable as iwb.
A lot of info on the web about them having ftf/FTE issues but I never had any to speak of, that being said my wife for the first couple of mags had issues until I convinced her to push through the shot.

I pocket carry the LCP Max. I have the standard Ruger holster and a Desantis - don't like either of them so usually just have pistol in the pocket.
A good friend pocket carries the Kahr 9mm - no holster.
I like the extra capacity of the LCP standard 10+1 vs. Kahr 6+1 - I also have the bigger magazine for 12+1.

TFB just put up a video last night. Few good suggestions in here. BTW, ole boy comes off a little cocktail, but he's a defense lawyer in NOLA. Just opened a gun range in Arabie last weekend.
