I said it in another thread, but it's because this season is either pass/fail. If we don't win a title with the top 2 picks in the draft, it's going to feel like a failure. Everyone is on edge because of that, so anytime something bad happens, they are going to freak out because they see a reason why we may not win it all.

You nailed it here

Everyone needs to enjoy the ride, this is a fun team. Even if we don’t win it all.

Exactly. Lack of pitching may come back to bite them big time.

It’s no worse than anywhere else in the country. We are 4th in the SEC in walks allowed. The number 6th team in the country has a higher ERA than we do.

These football-only ignoramuses don’t understand the difference in the sports.

World Series winners and CWS winners lose around one out of three games. College football national champions are usually undefeated or lose one game.

These football-only fans watch baseball and post on threads thinking that’s what should happen in baseball.

Can someone explain it to me like I'm a 3 year old? I get that some of it is trolling. But, it's not all of it.
It's the fear of possibly wasting the efforts of the nation's best hitting team due to a non-Omaha pitching staff. Happens every year like a broken record.

The walks and inconsistency from our pitching staff outside of Skenes has the fanbase on edge

Thankfully the offense has always been able to come through most of the time…but you can’t always rely on that especially come postseason time

and some LSU fans think this team has no flaws and anytime a fan brings up an area of concern, even if it’s minor that may prevent us from winning a national championship, they lose their mind.

Pitching plays a bigger role in Omaha and HRs are hard to come by unlike in other SEC ballparks. That’s what I get from some fans and I tend to agree. Nothing wrong with the conversation

Weak fans who are not used to seeing a team with big balls that can mash throughout the lineup. This team doesn’t quit and can overcome any deficit. Can’t pitch around two guys like the last several years.

Because they think being contrarian and cynical makes them important. In reality they look like bedwetters.

It happens. In my estmation Oklahoma's SS was the best all around player in the CWS last year, but Ole Miss raised the trophy.

This, plus in football the best teams can expect to outscore bad teams in almost every single quarter but in baseball a team can easily sweep a series despite “winning” well under half of innings.

Some clowns on here think we should win every game 20-0! Similar to football.

Walks. Walks. Walks. Cut the walks 50%, and 80% of the bitching will stop.

This is a little different than having the best hitter and pitcher in baseball.

It's adorable that you think how people act in person is how people act on a message board.

Perfect LSU (any sport) for many fans beat the hell out of everybody win the Natty and immediately fire the coach.
Though looking back at it that would have been a good plan after 2019 football season
