DeSantis takes away speech rights in America to protect

Now we know why. He is also over there raising money which he timed perfectly with the Florida legislation regarding his Presidential run. Typical politician. Claimed the Jerusalem embassy move as his own achievement. Liar, Liar, pants on fire!!
"DeSantis presented the Trump administration's decision to move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem as his own achievement, saying he worked to "cajole" the former president to make the move."
Look Who's Coming To Dinner?

He is waiting for the Florida legislatures to pass his new election bill allowing him to run for president with out having to step down as governor. This is not going to help him get Florida republicans to vote for him.

Trump fanclub would be comparing Joe Biden to Ronald Reagan if ran against that evil DeSantis

Explain to these people the law that was just passed

They didn’t pass a law.
They passed a clarification.
Because it was written intentionally vague.

What questions do you have?

I don’t think you can pass something called “a clarification.” It’s either a bill, passed successfully through the legislature, and then signed into law by the Governor, or it’s not. The efforts to conceal or divert attention away from the nature of this new legislation signed into law is itself what makes people think it might be a little shady. It’s actually not “shady,” it’s a straightforward carve out to the prior law that required someone currently holding office in Florida to resign from that office to submit a letter of resignation before qualifying to run for the new political office. Full stop.
The carve out now makes an exception specifically in the event that the new office being sought is President or Vice President. And apparently the position of the Republican leadership in the state legislature is that it’s in no way a special carve out for Desantis specifically. Of course that’s going to draw attention. And that’s not me suggesting anything one way or another, just simply “clarifying” the matter.

Here you go, sport.
You can look up who Hutson is if you don't know why you should listen to what he has to say.

Hutson made the clarification argument on Wednesday, during a question and answer session with state senators, though he maintained the change wasn't necessary.

Ridiculous on its face
It will be codified into law, and placed alongside those red flag laws, the hate speech law, and the "clarification" on FOIA disallowing requests on who is visiting DeSantis at the capital

You mean an amendment?
Posted on 4/28/23 at 11:02 pm to Jack Carter
Not even an amendment. If someone absolutely insists on avoiding the nomenclature “new law” for their own personal reasons, I guess they could refer to it as “revision” of an existing law, but no matter how much one may try, the result is new law on that particular point or topic. In this case the new law (or again “revision” if one insists) being “you don’t have to resign from office if you’re running for President or Vice President - everyone else, same deal as before, you gotta resign to run”.
**Edit to amend original post: “Amendment” technically works as well actually. My b.

Cool.
He would've never had to do that.
It was always wishful thinking from the Disney Bros.

Well, yeah, because that's what it is.
