What two players are going to have break out seasons on both sides of the ball?

I’m loving Ethan Frey’s bat and I think once he’s back from injury Paxton Kling has shown that he can be an elite outfielder at the collegiate level.

Garrett Dellinger will become a dominant OL and Whit Weeks will be "Saban's Jack Hunt" on Defense. (The defensive QB that makes it all click)

Noah Cain looks primed to be the lead back. Love what he’s done with his body, losing some of that bulkiness

On defense I look for Sage Ryan to have a nice year. He has instincts, so these need to start turning into playmaking

I worry that Sage might just have bad ball skills. It’s year 3 though, time to make that leap if he can.

I agree! 5 star DB needs come out.

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him become the clear #2 guy. But Williams is just so consistent and makes winning plays. Not completely unlike CEH. Clyde was never going to break the 75 yard TD run. But when you had to have a play in a big spot he made it. Same for Williams. LSU does not beat Alabama (or Arkansas) last season without just flat our effort from Williams. The 3 and 8 run for a 1st down late in the game where it looked like Alabama had him stopped well short was huge. Second maybe only to the max effort to get the clearing block on Daniel's TD run in OT.

I really like Lacy and would chose him but for the fact Nabors and Thomas are just so good it will limit the opportunities for Lacy to truly emerge. If I had to pick one guy it would be Mason Taylor. Clearly LSU wants to use the TE heavily. Taylor continued to improve as the year went on and you saw the athleticism he displays with the ball in his hands. He won't be Brock Bowers. But I wouldn't be shocked to see him as the SEC's 2nd best TE.

On defense, Savion Jones. He was a much more productive and disruptive DE/OLB than Gaye. Unfortunately, he was really more of an Ojulari type player which kept him off the field because LSU didn't want to take BJ off. With BJ gone, I think Jones emerges.

Savion Jones showed a lot of talent when he played last year, gotta go with him. On offense Kyren Lacy if his hands get better

I don't think his ball skills are the issue. He was hampered by a hamstring injury, and he never really looked quite right but he got better as the year progressed last year. It's the adjustment some of these guys have to make to the overall speed coming at them.

I hope he is a breakout guy for the Tigers this year, he played football with my son when my son was a senior and Sage was an 8th grader. Even as an eighth grader, he was one of the 4 or 5 best players on the field, easily. SO I am a little biased where Sage is concerned.

On the offensive side, I would like to see John Emery finally live up to his potential. Also wouldn't mind Daniels moving to that next level and becoming a serious Heisman contender. But Lacy is probably the most likely to turn a corner and step it up bigtime IMO.
