I completely understand a kid I don’t knows medical issues are not my business but damn, I wish they would just say surgery or no surgery

Well he was tossing a football so I don’t think he has had surgery yet. I think if he had surgery he wouldn’t be tossing anything yet

Kinda curious if it’s a ucl why we wouldn’t want him getting surgery as quick as possible to try and have him back for most of next season

Probably because he would miss most of next season as well, so if there is a chance he could avoid it, then they want to consider that option

all speculation

It was more or less a joke
I know he was throwing a football, point is I wish they would release something with a few more details

I thought could be possible just when both him and Shores went down that missing next year was on the table

Neither Edwards nor Shores are likely to pitch again this season. Johnson will just slowly string you along, week by week being ambiguous and noncommittal ("not in the immediate future", which includes anything between next week, and never) until the season's over. Don't expect a substantive update until the season is finished.

If they somehow let him rest 5 more total weeks and he's back for an appearance to knock off the rust in the SEC tournament before the Regional it would be yuge

Cant we assume that if he will be POSSIBLY available in three weeks or so that there is no surgery happening. We dont even know the exact injury, but throwing anything this weekend is pretty indicative that he is planning on coming back during the season.

I’m pretty sure they all travel, even guys who are out for the year.

I think it’s pretty clear. They aren’t ruling him out yet while they get several different opinions, even if it’s unlikely he plays again this year.

Maybe he has something similar to what I did my Sr year of HS. I was in the middle of throwing a pass and a DE grabbed my arm doing some ligament damage.

The Dr allowed me to finish football and play/pitch my Sr baseball season. I even pitched when I got to college(fall ball) and got it fixed afterwards. I was back before the regular season started.
