Look at Coleman. He was injured in February of last year and it took until the last 2 weeks of April this year before we saw him again, 13-14 months later.
Edwards last pitched April 7. If he had TJ the very next week, he'd more than likely miss all of next season. He could stand to wait it out to try to avoid surgery, and if he does, in fact need TJ, he can have that over the summer and still be ready for the 2025 season.

You can travel with the team and not be on the travel roster.
Example: Arkansas was hoping to get closer Brady Tygart back this weekend. He made the trip to Athens, but wasn’t on the travel roster. So he couldn’t play.
I’m sure Coleman has traveled with the team, but not been eligible before this weekend.
