I can’t for any reason see him as anything other than a day 3 pick. His QB awareness is atrocious.

QBs need to be judged by the eyeball test sometimes. The eyeballs say he was dog shite at Florida

I think he'll be over-drafted, but if his S2 is OK then I wouldn't be worried.

He had a shite offensive system and WR talent.

The biggest issue is that he doesn't appear to be a natural, gifted, or willing runner. He's like the ultimo version of Jordan Jefferson in that regard. Have all the athletic traits to run, but aren't about that life.

I'd rather take a risk on Richardson than Levis who couldn't beat out Sean Clifford.

The last time this board came together to hate on a QB it was Jalen Hurts.

I think the main thing with him is that if he puts in the work he'll be just fine because of his athletic talent.

Not a lot of career starts at Florida so it would probably be foolish to throw him into the fire.

Even if someone picks him in the first round

That's just my half-arse opinion

He may bust, but most 1st round QBs bust. But he’s got all the traits necessary. If he works hard and is drafted into a good situation with low expectations year 1 and a good OC/QB coach/HC, he could be really good. If he goes to a shite franchise that doesn’t develop QBs well, he may not see a 2nd contract. That’s why he’s so intriguing.

You think?

Unreal to me that he is even a QB prospect in the league, much less a top pick.

No way I’d risk my job on that guy if I’m a GM. Far more likely to bust than reach his ceiling.

He will be a combine Tarzan. But he looked like Jane a lot at Florida. Maybe it’s just me.

On one hand, Anthony Richardson reminds me of how I felt about Lamar Jackson and Jalen Hurts going into the NFL and they have been more successful than I anticipated. On the other hand, Jackson and Hurts were significantly better college quarterbacks with a ton of playing experience under their belts going into the NFL.

I think it is possible that Richardson COULD be a good quarterback, but he absolutely has to go to the right team. Jackson and Hurts benefited tremendously from being drafted by good organizations later than where Richardson is projected (Jackson at 32 to the Ravens and Hurts at the end of the second round by the Eagles). If he goes somewhere like Vegas, he will absolutely be a bust.

If they throw him to the wolves and try yo start him opening game would be a huge mistake. He needs to go somewhere and sit for at least a year. But some stupid GM is goons go on flat potential and draft him early.

What were your thoughts on Lamar and Hurts? Same?

This is a sad thread. Just running down the guy for no reason. According to everything I have seen, he is a great guy and super charming. Very bright and has aced every interview. All that on top of freakish athleticism and measurables. It's not just one or two organizations that want him. He's not getting out of the top 10. So he's not a reach.

Every college player would be best off going to an organization with no pressure to play right away and the best system catered to his talents. That isn't a ground breaking theory, it's pretty common knowledge..
