Sounds like a child of the 90s named their kids after their favorite 90s baseball players.

When we were pregnant, my mother (who is one of the more rational people on the planet) wanted us to name our son Jaxon. She even said "Jackson, but with an x." I told her absolutely not, and that I literally didn't believe that she was serious.

tle known fact I saw on the TikTok: Taylor is a white supremacist name because it is derived from a confederate soldier named Zachary Taylor.

Well you are pretty dumb to get facts from TikTok. Going to be hard to be a confederate soilder when he died in 1850.

quote:

Zachary Taylor (November 24, 1784 – July 9, 1850) was an American military leader who served as the 12th president of the United States from 1849 until his death in 1850. Taylor was a career officer in the United States Army, rising to the rank of major general and becoming a national hero for his victories in the Mexican–American War. As a result, he won election to the White House despite his vague political beliefs. His top priority as president was to preserve the Union. He died 16 months into his term from a stomach disease, thus having the third shortest presidency in U.S. history.

The way you wrote this made me think you got your mom pregnant

Dont say “we were pregnant.” Its silly. You arent pregnant.

Say “when my wife was pregnant”

Half of those are last names.

I knew a girl years ago whose first name was Collins. I was like what is her last name, Jessica?

I worked with an old man in the early 1980s name of Gladys. Good dude...told folks his name was Happy Bottom (glad arse LOL). He was in his 70s then so he'd have been named around 1915 or so...apparently it was fairly common...apparently about 105 per million boy 1920 babies born between 1900 and 1920 were named Gladys. Down to 3-4 per million since 1940 or so...

I work with a 74 year old man named Claudia now. Claims the hospital entered it on his birth certificate wrong. Goes by Claude of course.

Lest we forget that Ralph Loren's daughter in law is named Lauren Lauren.

When she first met RL's son, they joked about what her name would be if they married.

RL has made millions designing classic clothes and their world has gotten used to the DIL's name.

Why does spelling trigger so many people here?

Seems more like a get off my lawn situation.

because we live in a society with generally accepted things in different categories.

Takes James for instance. It's spelled like this: James. That is normal. That is correct.

Some shithead starved for attention and wanting to make childbirth all about themselves naming their child "Jaiyemezz" (pronounced James) is fricking dumb. It's wrong. It's incorrect. It has nothing to do with "get off my lawn" and everything to do with "you are a shitty and terrible parent and overall human".

Of all the things to give a shite about, you're worried about other people's kids names. Grow up, Peter Pan.

The list still has Biblical and royal influences in the 80's:

ain't no King Jaxon
