I have never flown SW, but have considered going after the companion pass. However, I find their website difficult and the availabilty of flights for me out of CLT or GSP just aren't there. It seems that every flight connects at BWI....

companion pass isnt worth it southwest flights are usually twice as expensive as anyone else and then you have to deal with their shitty boarding and no assigned seats.

This is the best part imo. I can avoid fattys, people that look like they stink, and people that look like they're from Atlanta

absolutely the best boarding policy—-I would much rather pick who I sit by than endure those crazy group boardings and take a chance seat choices on the others

How do you pick who sits next to you?

SW prices are very competitive, boarding is very efficient. I always add the early bird option and never have an issue getting a good seat.

Fewer entitled asshats on SW too..

You don’t. Open seating so you can be the first one on the plane in the front row and any smelltard that wants to can sit beside you. If traveling with a companion, best to grab a two seat emergency row.

Sometimes a single person can hit all three negative marks.

I upgrade now to avoid fatties and close contact.

I’ve only flown SWA once (RT to DCA) since the pandemic and I am going to avoid them if possible, it’s too up close and personal and I had A-2 boarding.

I fly SW exclusively. I’m a pretty relaxed traveler and don’t care except for sitting by fatties. I’ll go to the back with the crying kids and turn on my ANCs and not have a single problem.

I’ve gotten up and moved when a fatty came and sat by me.
