North Kansas City
quote:

Yarl was allegedly shot twice in the head after arriving at the wrong home address, attempting to pick up his younger siblings. The homeowner was taken to a police station to give a statement, however, he was released shortly thereafter. Yarl has survived those serious gunshot wounds and is currently in the hospital, recovering from his injuries.

quote:

”Once again, the state of Missouri has witnessed the shooting of an unarmed Black, male teenager, this time because he knocked on the wrong door while picking up his siblings. Instead of seeing Ralph Yarl as a person, the homeowner immediately saw him as a threat and responded by shooting an innocent child — a model student, responsible big brother, and son — in the head.

Ultimately, this tragic incident underscores why ‘shoot first, ask questions later’ policies like so-called ‘Stand Your Ground’ laws do far more harm than good. These laws breed a society of violence and fear while providing cover for those who harm, maim and kill others…”Rep. Terry said.

No one should get shot just for ringing the wrong door bell or knocking on the wrong door.

What’s the odds that is what actually happened? No one is willing to ask that question just yet in the media.

Too many details missing in their reporting.

What a dumbass thing to say. They think not allowing people to protect their homes will decrease crime? That's an original thought.

No, Trayvon Martin was attempting to murder someone. It appears this guy was just shot.

This kid has a lot more glowing reviews of him and pictures looking like how he is described. I’m leaning towards this story being legit. It doesnt seem nearly as suspect as Trayvon did

We are allowed to talk about societies of violence now?

Did he show up at the front door? And only the front door?
Did he bang on the door? Was he yelling at the door, even in a jovial manner?

Or are we to accept that he kindly tapped on the door and then the homeowner simply blasted away at him before Yarl said anything or moved?

Will wait for the whole story

However, you can see the media is still stirring the shite pot whenever the opportunity for some **cha-ching** settles in their laps for clicks, views, and airtime.

I find it kind of odd that black folks only seem concerned when other black folks are shot by white folks, but are eerily silent when "model students" are slaughtered by other black folks.

I wonder what they think of things like this?

LINK

quote:

BATON ROUGE - A woman and her unborn child were killed early Sunday morning while she was picking up someone from a party along North Carrollton Avenue.

According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, 36-year-old Keisha Johnson was found shot to death and lost her baby.

Police say Marques Porch, Gregory Parker, and Derrick Curry—all 19—were booked Sunday evening for second-degree murder and first-degree feticide.

Officers said the men shot at Johnson because they believed she was the person shooting a gun into the air near the party.

Prima facie, it doesn’t look good, but I imagine there are many important details that have been left out of this excerpt.

FWIW, he was shot once in the head, and once in the shoulder.

Assuming the scant facts so far are otherwise accurate, this sounds very different from Trayvon.

Apparently the kid was trying to pick up a younger sibling from a home on 115th Terrace after dark. That should be pretty easy to verify.

He went to the house address on 115th St instead. 115th St parallels 115th Terrace one block away. Assuming the bit about his sibling is correct, that would be a pretty easy mistake to make.

Just a guess, but he probably didn't get an answer at the door, and went looking to see if they were in the backyard or something. Homeowner saw him prowling around and assumed he was up to no good.

Details of the encounter according to the homeowner obviously did not warrant an arrest.

Maybe the shooter had been reading about the recent Chicago Wildings or the mass looting of a Compton gas station?

Too soon to tell what actually happened and the MSM can't be trusted at all.

We aren't talking "Oh here's lil Trayvon when he was 12." I'm leaning towards him being a good kid. You can be a bad kid and play the bass clarinet and want to go to Texas A&M to study chemical engineering, but the odds are much more against it. Trayvon had a rap sheet already. But we will see.
