Although, I can understand why might not want to.

To suffer the slings and arrows of, no offense (well, a little )

To the Philistines who chime in with that all too witty "you spent too much time on this."

I can assure you, it was less than you think. He's a master at his craft, as is evidenced by his work. You lot are the sort who would chide Da Vinci for his choice of paint.

"Who could spend that sort of time on lists about shoes and signs." You say.



Well...not you. Not even if you wanted to. Gun to your head you couldn't produce something that even approached the sort of talent the man gives you...for free.

He is a sculptor of words, an artisan of English, a linguistic virtuoso who, frankly, this place does not deserve.

And the fact that it takes no effort to just ignore the threads you have no interest (nor the intellect) for, yet you choose to (poorly) mock.

Now, this place has taught me to appreciate an acerbic wit, a well crafted jibe or a smartly aimed barb.

But mindless, baseless boos...well, they aren't beneath this place. Hell, they are on par.

So, if he does choose to return, I hope those of you to whom I refer can be content to contain themselves to babe threads and the constant doom doom doom.

Because some of us rather enjoy his prose.

But seriously, what is it about having to read more than a few paragraphs on a mostly text based message board that sends you lot into a fervor? The thread isn't for you. I get that. Move on.

And if you must mock...at least have some ounce of wit to your jeers. Something more than a dumb monkey brain flinging poo because what he writes is far beyond your comprehension.
