I'm looking for a car that is good on gas, comfortable, but also fun to drive. I haven't been in the car game for a long time and drive trucks/suvs.
getting rid of my gx460 that i lifted and outfitted for overlanding since i live in boston now and it's pointless. plus i drive 30 miles for work and it gets 13mpg.
nissan maxima, honda accord, or toyota camry decent options?

Accord and Camry are great cars.

I just bought my wife a 2022 Accord Touring a few months ago.
I am happy as hell because we started at Audi A6 before she decided to go with the Accord because of the huge backseat and "pretty Sonic Gray color".
The 2L turbo is a really fun motor and it sips gas in eco mode.
I don't drive it often but when I do, it is enjoyable.

If you have a house I’d look at the Tesla Model 3 Performance.
The cars you listed wouldn’t be considered fun to drive
Camry does have a 300HP version that may be fun.

Choose Camry or Accord, either is correct.
Do not go Nissan.
You’re welcomed.

Lesbian and hipster jokes aside... I actually really enjoy Subaru Crosstreks and Outbacks.
AWD, 30mpg, manual transmission if you want, and one of the more reliable crossover sized vehicles.

Good on gas, comfortable, and fun to drive? Hmmm... How much money are you willing to spend?
Something like an Acura Integra would maybe fit the bill? It's basically a Honda Civic with better fit and finish.

compared to what i'm coming from, they are. i had a 2001 silverado and then upgrades to the lexus gx460 in 2019.
anytime i drove my ex wifes accord i felt like i was in a sports car, lol.
so when i say fun to drive i mainly mean a smooth driving car that has enough acceleration to pass ppl comfortably.

Camry with a stick shift.

Some of the Camrys have badass interiors.

Camrys are great cars and will 37mpg on your commute. Go with an xse.
The 4cylinder is not a bad motor but you could opt for the v6.

Recently gave up my 2010 Maxima and I still miss it. No powertrain issues. Only thing I ever had to replace was the a/c. Very comfortable, and an enjoyable, smooth drive. Nice v6 power.

What size vehicle do you need?
I’d you’re ok with smaller, the new Prius honestly looks really good, is now faster than a Civic Si and gets 58mpg in the city
If you’re open to electric, I’m surprisingly a fan of the Ionic5. It’s almost like what the 80s would have designed a futuristic vehicle to be
The Camry is about to get a refresh which should make it more appealing.
Accord just got one, but I honestly think I prefer the outgoing model. Still not a bad option as far as reliability if you’re one to keep a vehicle for a long time.
Downside with both is Toyota was extremely limited on supply(not sure if that’s gotten better yet since Covid) and same would go for the new accord. Many dealerships were demanding 2-5k over asking for civics and even up to 10k over asking for the outgoing hybrid accord just 4-5 months ago.

I have a 2022 Honda Accord Hybrid Touring model and I absolutely love it. I bought it in July 2022 and I've been getting 40mpg since I purchased it.
