I don’t imagine Jay was too heartbroken himself. Neither team is “scared”—that’s absurd. South Carolina has won 2 NCs since our last, to suggest that they were afraid to play us—at home—after how well they’ve competed so far is laughably stupid.

But neither team is served trying to squeeze a 3rd game in in the cold and rain playing 2-3 innings at a time over with hours long stoppages in between that may not have even finished or that might have gotten called after the 5th. It’s not worth the risk of putting the players in that position. Not to mention all the logistical decisions (travel, meals—when do you eat?—hotels, etc…) that have to be made that you’re not considering.

TLDR: this thread is fricking retarded

They are allowed to play in the rain, depending on how heavy and/or if there's lightning within a certain radius of the stadium. It used to be 10 miles. I think that may have been reduced a few years ago.

Sounds like you are happy the game didn’t get played as well lol
I certainly think that they manipulated what they could to their advantage, but it's also possible that neither coaching staff was unhappy about scratching the last game. With the state of our pitching arms, a little extra rest and the ability to optimize their management this week may be preferable even if we would have won the series.

why did their administration etc seem to try so hard to avoid game three?

Their ace was pulled w/ back injury in his last start after only a couple of innings. He was iffy at best to go today.

They have a midweek win over top 25 rival in UNC and a split w/ #1. They wanted no part of settling the tie after our comeback in G2

stop apologizing for South Carolina based on potential stoppages or gnarled logistics. That is making excuses for cowards who instead of looking for ways to compete, ran from the challenge.

You will never convince me that from Friday afternoon at 4 pm until Saturday night at midnight (no sunday evening SEC travel rules in effect for series that end on saturday) nine or seven innings of baseball could not be played.

South Carolina isn’t afraid to play LSU. We will probably see them again in Omaha.

Just flip the channels and look at the masters for a minute and in- between massive pine trees knocked down and ponds of water on greens, waters pouring of umbrellas the best in the world playing the biggest for all the marbles, but baseball has gotten to where a few drops is like a circle and 3 drops in it...we out

I get that they probably didn't want to keep facing Skenes, even though they tagged him a couple of times. But to say they are scared of us is dumb. Did you watch the games? SC played with confidence. They outplayed us more innings than we outplayed them. It felt like our hitters were confused a good bit. A lot of our swings were hacks. I was impressed with their pitching. They weren't scared! Some of y'all remind me of Arkansas fans.

This isn’t the grand conspiracy most of our remedial fans think it is. South Carolina wasn’t scared. That is a pretty good club we just played. Would’ve loved to see a game 3. May get them in the SECT or even a super or Omaha if both were to make it

It takes a special kind of stupid to think something as common as a baseball game being canceled due to rain was some conspiracy by to home team to avoid playing. The irony is how many of these tards were on here yesterday saying LSU was over hyped, whining about how bad our pitching is worrying we would get swept. But somehow one big inning and suddenly SC is afraid to play,

It’s not your fault. You are just irritable that the DWCHA stumbled out of the gates to a 3-6 start. Relax, it’s a long season.

Imagine being so retarded you think we’re talking about game three instead of Thursday Friday options and behavior.
