In BASEBALL.

How weak can you be.

We are the team with pitching depth issues because of injuries and they did all they could to avoid three games.

Pitiful.

Yea they didn’t even try to hide their cowardliness. It’s not everyday you witness the #6 team in the country scared to death to play a team at their home field lol

It definitely played into it. They cancelled any chance of playing yesterday at like 4:45pm and did the same today at like 8:15am

You do realize the home team doesn’t decide whether to play or not, due to weather?

Last night it was a light drizzle all through the nightcap. They for sure could have gotten in game 3.

They had 3 days of 13 hours to play 3 three hour baseball games..

11 am to midnight each day.

Even if you eliminate today entirely, there were still 26 hours to play three games.

Auburn played A&M ahead of weather and finished yesterday.

It could have been done before today.

I get that they probably didn't want to keep facing Skenes, even though they tagged him a couple of times. But to say they are scared of us is dumb. Did you watch the games? SC played with confidence. They outplayed us more innings than we outplayed them. It felt like our hitters were confused a good bit. A lot of our swings were hacks. I was impressed with their pitching. They weren't scared! Some of y'all remind me of Arkansas fans.

I live in South Carolina and last night was more than a light drizzle. We drove home from Columbia in some pretty heavy rain.

26 hours with no rain? Why didn’t you call and let them know exactly when it definitely wasn’t going to be raining

Why was the Auburn-A&M series in Columbia? Maybe the forecast was different in Auburn

Oh and btw just because rain is not actually falling from the sky at a given moment doesn’t mean the field is playable. No one wants to sit around for 13 hours looking for a window to squeeze a game in, players especially pitchers need time to warm up and stay loose. It’s easy to judge with 20/20 hindsight when you are not the one that has to make the decision.

I get that it rained last night and today, but three games could have been played starting earlier on Thursday.

It is not like it was a hurricane or tornado passing through.

I’m done with it now. On to UK and rest of season.

The weather forecast does look like rain all day and most of the night. I’m not sure why they couldn’t play tomorrow. They are already there and the weather forecast looks good. Windy but no rain.

I don’t think this game was cancelled solely because USC doesn’t want to play us again….right away. But I get the feeling they weren’t heartbroken either.

Again the amazing thing about using hindsight you can pinpoint exactly when it was and wasn’t raining. Unfortunately they don’t have that information when they have to make the call. They played early yesterday leaving all night and today and couldn’t get in the 3rd game. It’s really easy to just say they could have played 2 on Thursday with hindsight. However there are other factors, what was LSUs travel schedule, were we available to start a DH at a moment’s notice.

Must be nice though to go through life never having to make a decision without 100% certainty. I envy people like you who can make decisions based on knowing what already happened

SC is a very good team. They are not scared! I suspect we may see them again in SEC Tourney semis or finals?
