We drove it from close to Tupelo to Jackson last summer and it was the best miles on a long road trip. I love backroads anyway but the Trace was very nice. I did drive around 60 so next time I’ll slow down. I wondered about cops but got lucky I guess. I want to drive the whole thing now.

Natchez Trace is a great drive through history. From the Chickasaw, Choctaw, Cherokee, Natchez etc. Add to that the war of 1812, civil war, etc.
The road is well maintained but there is about a 40 mile section around Jackson built on sensitive soils so the road can get a little rough.
People have gotten accustomed to driving on 12-13’ lanes so the 11’ lanes can be unforgiving especially with softer shoulders. Enjoy the journey.

Forest and rolling hills, barely anyone on the road, cruise set to 58, no stop signs, no open container law in Mississippi, windows down, Skynyrd on
No better way to enjoy that beautiful Southern countryside.

The Natchez Trace Parkway is Federal Property. When the Federal Parkway Ranger pulls you over for doing 8 mph over the speed limit and an open container. He's going to send you to Federal pound you in the arse prison

If you like scenic cruises on the hwy, do yourself a favor and drive from Vancouver to Whistler. By far the most beautiful drive I’ve ever experienced

Did the trace on my motorcycle. Started off nice. Got real boring real quick. Speed limit is too slow. Too much of the same view on the lower half. Upper was better.
Came back other routes. Glad I did it. I will only do sections from here on out.

I rode it on my motorcycle 15 years ago or so with the leaves changing in fall. It is an awesome drive that I would also highly recommend.
