Food trucks
Car washes
Asian restaurants

The car wash thing is out of control. As for food trucks, I’m torn. It’s like craft beer at this point. There’s so many out there that you have to sift to find the good ones.

My wife (no pics) assumes anything served from a truck must be better than what you get at a restaurant.

Weed shops here. I can walk to at least 5 shops within 5 minutes of me.

I agree with hot dogs. I don't get it either. All our local decent restaurants are going to Hot Dog specials. Sorry but I'm not paying $12 for a hot dog. I might pay $4 for a brat if I'm drunk enough in the city and they have a cart on the corner. Other than that... I'd rather cook roller food at home.

Out of style around here are: Rolled ice cream, cupcakes, Axe throwing, bowling, movie theaters. Cookies haven't caught on yet and Bobo tea isn't really new but never caught on either.

Cupcakes had their heyday 6-7 years ago. Axe throwing that last few. I'm seeing more and more Hot Dog places open. I love a dog at a ballgame but just can't see them taking off enough to support a brick and mortar place.

Hot dog food trucks/trolley etc seem to make it.

And car washes...holy smokes. Institutional money are now behind those.

In 2017, Axe throwing ads saturated Birmingham radio (and quickly fizzled out), 2019 Axe throwing places start opening in Jxn, Ms. MS is always at least two years behind the curve. Except when it comes to drugs, crime and STDs.

Car washes
Tea Places
Wannabe cajun places

Vacant strip malls with for lease signs - this one chaps my arse. They clear cut a patch of woods and build these strips and nothing ever moves in or tends to stick around. These strips are everywhere. It’s so stupid and the city and or county does nothing to stop it. fricking sell outs

Crumbl is fine. Cookie Fix is where it's at, though.

We've had a ton of those health tea/drink places that are nothing but storefronts for Herbal Life. Can't go half a mile without seeing a "_______ Health" or "Health ________" store all selling the same drinks.

There are a lot of those "Nutritional Tea" shops around here now. They're everywhere and are like $8 a pop. They are awful, taste like really strong koolaid and they have a shite load of caffeine in them.
