Wow..congrtas on the dumbest post I have read on here in awhile. Even exceeded Jjdoc levels of stupidity.

Let's check on the items 14&Cucking bitches about RE: Trump.

-Bump stock ban
Reagan signed the machine gun ban of 86.

-Spent too much.
Reagan spent the most of any President in history up to that point. He TRIPLED the national debt in 8 years.

-Didn't do enough with immigration.
Reagan signed a horrible amnesty bill that, in many ways, is the root cause of all our immigration issues right now.

Reagan's time was a totally different animal; the Dems of today would have put Reagan behind bars for the 'Sandinista' thing. Who knows how tough and ruthless Reagan would have become if the Fascist Dems who now own the Judiciary, Deep State, MSM and half the populous had faced him down.

True

Reagan was a master communicator. He was smooth and polished. That came from his background. Trump is a brawler and brash. One mindful of the way he delivered his message, and the other like a sledge hammer.

We absolutely needed both for their times.

People keep claiming Trump is Chaos, and although some truth to that, most of the moniker derived from the way the media covered Trump. They absolutely propagandized that Trump meant chaos, and monarchy.

The dems were relentless in their attacks upon Trump, and even the GOPe who went against the voters because they think they know what's best for us.

The left and media were extremely successful in their branding of Trump. You can see it today with the ones who were Trump voters and now only see Desantis as their guy, and I like Desantis and can vote for him, but those attacking Trump to gain more support for Desantis have been successfully mind fricked by the left and their propaganda media arm.

The left and the media will do the same no matter who we vote in for the GOP nomination. The only difference will be if the GOPe apparatus, which is so closely tied in with the left, supports them or not.

The Paul Ryans and McConnels of the GOPe are the ones who should receive the heaviest of scorn from us voters. They fricked us over when we overwhelmingly voted Trump in, and they left him out to dry. They are the true traitors to our Republic. The Dems have been on a path to fundamentally changing America for decades. We knew they were enemies to the Republic, but the GOPe were exposed greatly under Trump.

Trump may have not cleaned up the swamp, but he turned the light on, and you can see many of the creatures that lurk there.

Probably as many as who will give a frick about Donald Trump 40+ years from now.

But back during that era, enough people did that RR won two terms and left with the country feeling a lot better about it’s future than it had when he assumed office.

I do, I am proud to say I voted him into his second term. Just as I am proud to have voted Trump into his first term.

I've similarly pondered how my staunchly conservative grandfather would have reacted towards Trump. I'm sure he would have been completely satisfied with Trump's policies and agendas, as my grandfather belonged to that older vein of bootstraps conservatism with its populist bent of country-first, pro-manufacturing, hardline social views, and anti-FDR style central planners. My grandfather never really fit in all that well with the more modern, academic slants of National Review columnists, free-traders, globalists, or libertine libertarians of the latter-half of the 20th century.

On the other hand, I don't think my grandfather would cotton much to Trump on a personal level. Trump's New York 'mouthiness' and trashtalk would have been interpreted by him as reflecting weakness. But even moreso, I think Trump's obsessive 'me-me-me' self-referencing would have been something my grandfather would have particularly recoiled from. That sort of thing was very antithetical to his generational worldview, when taking the measure of a man. So overall, it would have been a mixed bag. Happy with policies, supporting him, but remaining quite wary of him. That's how I'd see my grandfather going.

Reagan had a commandment that he lived by: Do not speak ill of another Republican. Mainly because he was always riding high in the polls in 1980. The fight was always for second place.

What I have never gotten is the vitriolic white hot hate for Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell. Ryan was a weak Speaker and probably in over his head no matter who was President. But like Boehner, he constantly had to deal with guys who went further right than what he was used to. But, in the beginning he got Trump's initial agenda passed.

McConnell had always been on Trumo's side while he had the power and even after as he dealt with a 50/50 Senate. He had to make deals to peel off a Democrat or two because he had Biden as the tie breaker. But he got Trump EVERYTHING he wanted....EVERYTHING until Jan. 6 and even then he made sure that there were enough votes to thwart a conviction.

From 2018 on McConnell suffered from the fact that he was no longer majority leader and therefore had to use parliamentary procedure to muddle things.....but he still got Trump Amy Coney Barrett. Instead of vilifying the Turtle he should thank God he had a guy who knew politics and how to play the game by the rules in place.

Don't care.

More interesting - What would Reagan think about 12 yo boys dancing at family drag hour; Jim Cary becoming a world class 'female' swimmer; nasty women wishing they could fulfill themselves by having an abortion [looking at you Lena Dunham]; Gay marriage; Mutilating children because of their parents ideology; Antifa and BLM riots creating billions in damage w/ only a token few arrested while liberal city leadership 'let it burn'. And finally, hundreds of patriots being setup, then arrested for gathering on Jan 6th. Even the word 'insurrectionists' would not be used until 3 months later, to justify their arrests.

Ask him about these things first.

Why? Spell it out. I find McConnell in particular to be incredibly effective. Got Trump EVERYTHING he wanted legislatively.

We can only form hypothetical opinions about Reagan's assessment of Trump.
However, we KNOW exactly what Rush Limbaugh thought. He thought Trump was great.

None of this would have happened ....at least the riots and Jan.6.

Reagan beat the shite out of his opponents and they recognized this. He beat them electorally and popular vote wise. Beat someone like a mutha fukka and you don't have these problems. Winning split decisions like Trump did gets you BLM and riots.

In the end, I'm not sure Presidents have much to do with the culture. Hollywood and media have a much greater impact.

No the 2 bushes were so bad that even if Regan is rated how he should be he’s still way better than them

Due to the recent overthrow of our government through election theft there is VASTLY more scrutiny of everything.

I was researching the reasons our education started crumbling fom the early 20th century to its acceleration in the 1980's

That research took a direct path to Ronald Reagan who RAN ON A PLATFORM of ridding us of the Department of Education that had just been started during Jimmy Carters one term preceding.

Reagan it seems, purposefully led that promise being broken, being crushed by supporting some of the most radical destruction of our education system. We continue to suffer drastically from his moves then.

When you consider Iran-Contra, the strengthening of the CIA during his presdncy it beecomes easier to notice more about Reagan.

That he was running covert CIA operations, that he was essentially a union boss himself..

I am not saying we should always expect a perfection from our leaders. But we SHOULD expect a general obvious concern for the majority of Americans and a healthy dose of what BENEFITS ALL AMERICANS.

The people elected in fair elections owe that to us - the ones who are "elected" by election theft need to be actively pursued for negation and remediation of their criminal acts. This likely includes several other presidents since Reagan and definitely the current violent neo-Bolsheviks.

AND BY GOD, we need to have an incorruptible election systems

Reagan BTW was indisputably elected fairly
