I say nine.

NFC South: 5
NFC North: 2
NFC 3rd Placers: 0
AFC South plus NE: 2

How many do you have the Saints winning this year?

IMO, we lose 2-3 games in the South because we always seem to play down to them when the division is terrible.

Enough wins to win the division but not quite good enough to be elite

8-9 or 9-8

7 to 11 wins. The NFL is a crapshoot and with the refs, you never know how it’s going to play out.

My expectations based on actual reality: between 7 and 10 wins

My expectations based on my extremely optimistic view of Derek Carr that has little basis on reality: 13 wins

Nfc south 4-2
Nfc north 2-2
3rd places 2-0 (I'm banking on Barkley being hurt and Danny throwing nickels)
Afc south + NE 3-2

11-6

That's optimism picks

With the team’s talent 10-11, with this team’s coaching 7-8

If this team is good at all and Allen doesn’t put them to sleep, we should sweep the division at home.
3-0 at home vs division.

We should be able to win 2 out of 3 on the road against this garbage division.
2-1 on road vs division.

Other home games - Giants, Jags, Titans, Lions, Bears. All borderline playoff type teams at best.
3-2 vs non div home games.

Other road games - Packers, Pats, Colts, Texans, Vikings, Rams.
3-3 vs. non division road games.

11-6 NFC South Champs, hosting a home playoff game as a 4 seed in wild card round. Sends us to the 1 seed with a win.

Saints win the division at 9-8, win Wild Card and get pummeled on the road in divisional round.

I think 10.

We still have work to do roster wise to make me feel better about that though.
