I sent a conservative son to college and got a socialist in return

We didn't push our conservative beliefs on our children at all. We raised them in a conservative home with conservative values, we taught them to be responsible for their own actions, we taught them that life can be difficult, but with hard work and perseverance this great country provides you the opportunity to be successful.
He was so excited to cast his first time vote for Donald Trump in the primaries!
He is in his 5th year at Bama and this year he has been coming home talking about how wonderful socialism is and that no one deserves to have millions and millions of dollars "Who needs that much money". I about came out of my skin!! I tried to talk to him, but it's just you see on TV, completely unreasonable.
When I went to Bama it was so conservative, so disappointed on what is happening on campus. So far so good on my daughter, she is a junior and still a conservative and just rolls her eyes at her brother!

College isn't the real world, and a lot of properly raised kids go retard at college. Most of them grow out of it, some as soon as they become productive members of society and learn how the world works.
