Looking to invest $700 today. I’m thinking Regions which is down 19% this week an has a 4.24% dividend.

Any advice is greatly appreciated for a suffering Hogs football fan. :)

First, never buy just for the dividend yield. Second, Regions has never been a big performer for its shareholders. I know it’s just a little money, but there has to be something better.

XLY (Consumer Discretionary) is about to get a bullish cross on the daily.

So pick something where you like to spend YOUR money and buy the stock.

No more rate hikes will turn this sector in a hurry!

GameStop (GME)

Earnings are on the 21st. Shorters might try to lower the price more today and on Monday, or it might just go up dramatically. The large institutional investors piled back in this quarter after a positive cash flow announcement in the last earnings.

GameStop is on a delayed quarterly. January was the final month in their 4th Quarter. The 4Q results is what is being announced on Tuesday. So, earnings, #of DRS share holders (only two companies announce that number), and any new partners and possibly the announcement of the new marketplace (still in Beta).

Okay, let the down votes from the Crammer and Motely Fools disciples begin.

Just put some change on Norfolk Southern. I love artificial dips from accidents.

MTDR looks nice too.

Last week it had a price target of $66, it's currently at $43. Yes I know things have changed since last week but I think this price drop is an overreaction.
