Schefter with details of the guaranteed money Lamar turned down

$133 million fully guaranteed
$175 million injury guarantee (Mahomes only got $140 Million injury)
$200 million guaranteed if he's on the roster in spring 2026, which is almost a guarantee if he's healthy enough to stay in the league because the dead cap hit for releasing him would be massive.
Unless Snyder steps up it looks like the options are sit out or play under the $32 million tag and pray he doesn't get a career ending or limiting injury.

I wouldn't put it past Lamar to sit out and then become a free agent. He obviously has no one with any sense actually guiding him in all of this... And I say that as someone who actually likes him as a person and player.

That Deshaun Watson contract really fricked a lot of shite up.

Not knowing a whole lot about this thing, Lamar looks like a fricking idiot. Which, to be fair, he’s never come across as a particularly intelligent person anyway.

No it didn’t. It’s one qb who’s dumbass doesn’t even have an agent. The browns are stupid for giving Watson that much guaranteed, doesn’t mean it fricked a lot shite up though

He scored a 13 on the wonderlic for a reason
Posted on 3/13/23 at 6:09 pm to Diseasefreeforall
So it’s now safe to say there isn’t someone quietly guiding him in the background for a few percent cut

Lamar is probably diagnosed as retarded. This only proves it

On paper yes, but at some point players are just being ridiculous and I think that point is now.
I'm all about players getting their money and "you're worth what the market will pay you", but turning down $200 million guaranteed because it wasn't as good as Watson's $230 million guaranteed is beyond absurd.
Honestly, if someone like Lamar (with his playstyle) is dumb enough or vain enough to turn down $200 million guaranteed, then I don't want that type of idiocy running my offense anyways.

Who is more dumb, lamar for turning it down or the people offering it to him?

Sit out and end up like Leveon bell would be hilarious

The person turning it down. Not the owner of an nfl team.

But when Scott Boras does it he’s brilliant. Lamar is in no rush to sign and Baltimore has already previously increased offers. Free Agency just started. He’s in no rush.

Lamar to GB, Rodgers to Baltimore. Make it happen and kill two birds with one stone

Literally NOBODY has said this.
Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe the OP was saying this was the deal Lamar turned down during the season that he was then risking injury playing without a contract.

Watch Lamar not even sign the tag deal and frick himself even more.
Imagine being an NFL owner and even thinking about trying to do a blockbuster deal with a 26 year old with no agent and the IQ of potato
