I remember enjoying his movies as an adolescent. But I recently saw the trailer for History of the World Part 2. So I decided to revisit his movies and frankly they are cringey AF. The humor is so base and crass, I could not sit through 10 minutes of part 1.

I guess you are a glutton for punishment. Get ready for the Downvotes. Mel Brooks is comedy genius.

Now, for fairness, let’s have Mel brooks go through your post history and give his thoughts

That's why I love the Internet. I can post my opinions without fear of persecution or punishment. And a few down votes from strangers don't hurt my feelings. Hell I have been referred to as a gas station employee on these boards more times than I like to remember

Mel Brooks understands what is funny.

Woke people have no sense of humor.

I agree with History of the World Part 1. No desire to ever watch it again. A boring slog through very predictable middle school jokes all about sex and being Jewish.

Spaceballs and Blazing Saddles are great though I think because of the characters to go along with the humor. Mel Brooks just doesn't carry it. You need Rick Moranis as Darth Vader or better yet deadpan Leslie Nielsen. Airplane and Naked Gun I think perfected that kind of humor. Growing up on those, it's harder to go back to old Mel Brooks

To be in that room with Pryor, Brooks, Bergman, etc when they were writing Blazing Saddles.

That's horrible. Though I ran into some Indians who owned it in Paris. Lol

Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein are great. History of the World Part 1 is his worst. Well, until History of the World Part 2 comes out.

That’s “fastidious” gas station employee.
SWAT is on their way so I wouldn’t sweat your upcoming audit or that the Admins are hovering over your post history like a choking cloud of gnats.

While I don't know you....frick it, I don't want to know you. Your family probably considers you a regret.
