Nope. They didn't care about that at all.
Also, this stuff doesn't work in video games because a one off line from a character in a bar establishes nothing for the player. Without that article you linked, I'd have never known.

Bunch of rainbow flag folks are butthurt over JK Rowling having an opinion different from theirs.
And honestly the only reason I even heard about it was from a video game review account I sometimes watch. Apparently the reviewers got a bunch of hate when they announced they were going to review it, so their review ended up with them crying about it and deciding to not review the game.

Same people who wanted an embargo on HL reviews are likely the same ones who demanded that people go out and review the Ghostbusters reboot than no one particularly wanted to see a number of years back.
No amount of pandering to feminists in the reviews was going to get people to go see a movie that looked horribly unfunny. And word of mouth wasn’t good either IIRC.

Because JK Rowling is an evil transphobe duh.
You should seen some of the reviews of the game. Bunch of dorky game reviewers acting like it was this giant moral dilemma to even review the game and had to include asides about how they’re just doing their jobs. Perfect example of a vocal minority on social media making it seem like a much bigger deal than it actually is.

They still hated it because the character’s name was Sirona Ryan. They were mad about the “Sir” and the Ryan for being a male name.
