I too believe the wife and BRPD know what’s up. Kinda crazy they’re allowing search and rescue groups like Cajun Navy, the group from TX, and Allie Rice’s family gather and search if they know what’s up.

It reminds me of when LSU student Kori Gauthier went missing. It took about a week or so before they found her body. Cajun Navy and Equusearch were assisting in the search. The police never said anything to the public during the investigation, but at some point they found footage of her jumping off the bridge. They told her family and her family made a statement about it.

I thought the wife said initially that Josh was the client? Would that not imply that Josh was in Baton Rouge already? When did it change to Josh coming in from out of town also?

When working on a big construction site, there are typically many contractors on a job and from different areas. Josh is working on the same site as NM and Josh could be subbing under them, making him a “client”. Client doesn’t necessarily mean the owner of the site

Something is definitely shady with this whole thing and I’m not sure he was a victim of a crime

Even the average criminal knows downtown has enough security cameras to make it hard to get away with anything

If she doesn’t show up here in the next few days and call a press conference, I’m beginning to think she doesn’t really care if this crime is solved or not.

One possibility I haven't seen mentioned is maybe the wife paid an assassin to whack him while he was out of town. She would likely know when his flight arrived and which hotel he was in. Provide this info to the killer, who surveils him until he sees an opportunity to take him out. Meanwhile the wife has an ironclad alibi.

To be honest, a lot of people thrown into a situation like this don’t know what to do. They still have lives to live and families to look after. I think it’s much easier for us to say what they should be doing or what we would do in the situation, but the amount of mental stress might be too much for people to handle.
Not saying that is the case, but I wouldn’t assume something nefarious or weird about their actions without knowing more…we also don’t know what they are doing behind the scenes as well. Someone reached out to these groups, perhaps it was the family, friends and client

Until they discover evidence that a crime has been committed, he’s just a missing person.
Nothing has been released that shows NM has been a victim of a crime.

These two guys (probably partying friends from way back) meet in BR for work, spend the whole afternoon/evening together drinking, going to the basketball game (at least for awhile), going to the strip club, then drinking some more

Went to the game long enough to get seated and FaceTime wife. See, we are at the game!!!

Not his first rodeo.

Yeah, going to an LSU basketball game as an out of town guy makes a lot more sense in that context. Pretty slick too

Here is another option with about the same probability that we’ve not yet discussed:

Space junk hit him on the head and bounced him into Mike the Tiger’s enclosure where he was subsequently completely eaten before the next morning.

Have we ruled out alien abduction? Dirt on the Clintons? Chinese Spy balloons?

I remember leaving LSU games early to grab a couple beers at Chimes because we were destroying SEC teams during the Wade years

To be fair, the odds she hired a hit man is about the same as you thinking buzzards were going to lead you to a body.

TLDR but now that the strip club is in the picture, odds are he thought he was meeting a dancer after her shift, he pulled a bunch of cash, they rolled him, and shite went south.

I remember about 20 years or so ago when a group would lure married dudes to Oakleigh after hours, they’d get jumped and then not be willing to file a police report less their wives found out.

fricking lowest common denominator there. I dated a dancer for a while. I’ve heard the stories.

This dude has like 6 kids/stepkids IIRC. His wife might want to see if their 401k has been liquidated.

Isn’t this a terrible area of town? Why would you be there at night?
