Gerbils

Relatives are visiting. The guests include 2 eight year old twin girls who brought along their pet gerbils, Donald and Ronald. The gerbils managed to escape from their cage and we need to find them before the cat does. I have one of the kids watching the cat's every move as a precautionary measure. Does anybody know where gerbils like to hide? Dark places, warm places, etc? Any advice is appreciated.

Lost a hamster when i was a kid . We thought she got out of the house pretty much gave up finding her then found her the next morning of all places in the fridge eating a head of lettuce. Maybe check the fridge.

Whichever one you get back first will decide the republican presidential primary. Please keep us posted so I can place my bets.

Catch them the same way you would mice... Get a no-kill trap and put food in it. Lock the cat up until they are found.

So did they also bring their rubber sheets too?

Look under cushions (sofa, etc) before sitting down. Many years ago we had a mouse that we would let run around and it would return to its cage at night. It went missing one day. I was going to let the couch out into a bed and when I lifted a cushion, there it was… flat.

Get a snake, it will catch the gerbils.

We lost one years ago. We found it about 2 years later it survived by eating dog food and that thing looked about the size of a cat lol
