That stuff probably will pull out by hand in big clumps, try that first

First pic-poa
Second-wild geranium
Third-henbit and chickweed
Fourth-rocky mountain national park
Fifth-false dandelion and sow thistle

Flowerbed round up and start over

I’d probably mix atrazine and manor and spray the whole yard.

Mine too....I give up.

Im gonna let it go and cut weeds. As long as they are green, I no longer care. I have spent $4K over the last few seasons on sod and chemicals, no more.

And OP just so you know, the Manor ronk is referring to is the same herbicide as MSM Turf that is often discussed and recommended on this board. Professionals like ronk might use Manor, home owners might use MSM Turf b/c you can buy in smaller bottles.

There’s no way that’s true unless your yard is a pasture. You had to have been applying incorrectly or the wrong thing.

I believe most of that dies out with warmer weather. I personally would just keep it mowed and let it ride.

1) fix dirt: pH, aerate, do soil test and add soil amendments if needed
2) ensure your grass is getting enough sunlight for the variety, if not remove trees or raise canopy to allow more light
3) roundup the entire lot with the base glyphosate (not the kind that says kills for ____ months)
4) wait two weeks and repeat
5) Talk to sod farm describe lot, location and other factors and select sod to have delivered
6) find and follow a lawncare schedule from a solid source online specific to your variety
7) water 1-3x per week depending on rainfall, soil, grass type and location

You do that and you’ll have outstanding grass

My yard was identical to yours when we moved in. I tried to fight the weeds that first summer and failed.

Next summer, I went ahead and got my cousin to come with his tractor and scrape the whole yard down to the dirt, and laid fresh sod.

I have a similar situation.

I plan on trying clegg's cocktail this afternoon.

If it kills back all the weeds and it's just dirt, do I sod the portion that is left?

I’ve got 7 downvotes for this but please tell me how someone who spent $4,000 over the last few seasons (let’s say 3) and is still having weed problems if they didn’t make mistakes along the way.

I may have spent $250 in chemicals over the same time period and keep my yard (Bermuda) and my in-laws yard (st Aug) and both weed free.

You shouldn't have a lot of trouble controlling that. To be honest, I don't hate it. I mean I don't want it in my yard but I don't hate seeing a solid purple lawn.

I leave the henbit alone. It's good for the bees and it dies off on it's own when it warms up.
