Personally I hope he takes the OM gig and wins a NC there, while we're all over here looking at Scott like "the frick is this?!"

Men's basketball is vitally important and we treat it like it's some kind of fricking lagniappe. I guess it's time for LSU to learn a painful lesson. Again.

Took years though. Saban wanted to hire him when Kiffin left……Sankey said No
Kiffin was hired by FAU in December 2016 and Freeze resigned from Ole Miss in July 2017.

that’d be ridiculous and utterly shameful if that happened, and I don’t think (hopefully) accurate.

I'd cheer for him, at least when they announce him as the starting coach, and then i'd be rooting for the Tigers.
That would be my way to show to the administration and Woodward that i didn't approve of firing Will Wade. and yes i know he was caught, but i don't really give a shite. The players loved him, the students loved him, and the fans loved him, and there was a different feeling about mens basketball that hadn't been felt in a very long time.
I don't think anyone out there expects us to win a national championship in basketball. It's incredibly hard to do today. But making the tourney every year and winning some games is fun as hell.

Why would they prevent it? He hasn’t been found guilty of anything

Hugh Freeze was implicated less than Wade in the Ole Miss NOA and was blackballed for years

I hate that he is no longer LSU's coach. But this is a bit ridiculous. He was 2-4 vs. Kentucky at LSU. And Ole Miss has much less in terms of resources to offer than LSU

The Wadeophiles live in an unrealistic, fantasy world. They overrate his coaching skill. They overrate is record. It is all about what "he could have done."

Because he actually received a show cause. Something Wade will probably not get.

OM isn't going to offer Wade anything.

He needs to go coach high school basketball.

Chin o wang is still mad that Johnny Jones can't coach a high school team, much less LSU!

Will Wade to Ole Miss is a strong possibility

It definitely is NOT a strong possibility, at least within the next 5 years.

That said, if by some magic potion that's offered to the SEC brass that enables them to relent, Wade could turn that team into a dynastic powerhouse.

No he didn't. He received a 2 game suspension if he were to be hired as a head coach within a year of their sanctions. he had no show cause period and also had no penalties whatsoever if he were hired as an assistant anywhere. Read both NOAs. Freeze wasn't directly implicated for anything, only failure to monitor his assistants. Wade was directly implicated multiple times

Ole Miss has had significant success on the court fairly recently. They won an SEC Championship in 2013, 33 years more recently than LSU's last tourney championship.

It just looks terrible. I know this is a hot take but if will Wade walked in the PMAC net year I think students would cheer for Wade over lsu. I don’t think you older folks understand how much the students love him.

its because he did alot to endear himself and the program to the students. I dont dislike MM, but he seems to have the personality of wet cardboard. Look at the coaches that inject life into the programs.......they transform apathy into energy. I despise Bruce Pearl, but look no further. THat program exudes energy, and he created it out of nowhere

I wouldn't bet a dime on the proposition that Wade avoids getting a show cause for a couple of years.
