I think students would cheer for Wade over lsu.

Given how bad the basketball program has been since he was fired, they should.

They let Hugh back and there were violations found against him not just accusations.

Pretty sure that was just Auburn saying “frick it. We are doing this and to hell with the consequences”. Auburn is just big enough of a brand to get away with something like that.

You seem very well adjusted.

that’d be ridiculous and utterly shameful if that happened, and I don’t think (hopefully) accurate.

I mean, it’s easy to see why isn’t it?

In my lifetime, the only time the team was EVER relevant was when Shaq was here, a couple of the Brady years, and basically all the Wade years. That’s 30+ years of mostly apathy and pathetic teams. Just like we have now immediately once Wade is gone.

Not apologizing for enjoying the energy and winning culture he brought. I want the team to be fun and make the tourney almost every season, that’s not asking much imo. It should not be as difficult as it clearly is for a school like LSU.

I think the SEC would prevent this
They could discourage it but the only way they could prevent it is if Wade gets sanctioned or suspended which has not happened.

The Wadeophiles live in an unrealistic, fantasy world. They overrate his coaching skill. They overrate is record. It is all about what "he could have done."

Well he did come after Johnny Jones

Now that schools are allowed to pay players, he won’t be successful. And those 5*s won’t be going to ole miss. And he can’t coach.

And if Wade does well at OM as HBC he may get promoted to freshman FB coach there.

You’re not an LSU fan and are frankly, a loser.

Man idk if Will would go to Ole Miss unless he just wants to stick it to LSU. He seems to look for places that he can see himself being successful and I don’t think Ole Miss has the resources to invest in basketball. Like another said, Georgetown would be a great fit for him.

He’s been offered the job. I do agree the SEC will probably prevent that.

I saw earlier today on the SECRant that Pitino might be in play at Ole Miss.

Ole Miss has had significant success on the court fairly recently. They won an SEC Championship in 2013, 33 years more recently than LSU's last tourney championship.

That's your benchmark for success? A major conf. tournament championship might be the most irrelevant "accomplishment" in the game.

Ole Miss has the lowest winning % in the history of SEC basketball. They also have the fewest wins among all of the original SEC programs still in the league. They are tied with South Carolina for the fewest NCAAT appearances among current SEC schools.

In short, Ole Miss is the worst basketball program in SEC history. Then again, they did win that SEC Tournament that one time in 2013

It just looks terrible

The fact that Rick Pitino is able to still coach college basketball, there isn't a such thing as a "terrible look" in college basketball.

I was a student in the early 2000s, if Will Wade goes to Ole Miss, despite the fact I have been a LSU fan of everything since I can remember, I would become a Ole Miss fan for as long as Wade is there.

There were four schools involved in that case. Kansas, Louisville, NC State and LSU. There is absolutely no reason at all why Will Wade should not still be the coach at LSU.

Since the John Brady era, I wanted to see a coach that could put together teams that could at least make the NCAA on a regular basis. Even in a year they miss it, as long as they are at least fighting to get in, I just want a competitive team. I think that is reasonable expectations. Wade was doing that. This year's team might have been one of his better teams. Instead, we have a team that is 13-15 with 2 wins in the SEC and tied for last with Ole Miss.

If I were Ole Miss Will Wade would be the top name on my list, in bold letters.

This “fanbase” is full of fake bitches. You’re just another one. If you support a coach over the program, ANY frickING COACH, no matter who or why, then you should just get the frick out and follow him.
