Bottom 9, 10-10

DeQuincy brought its starting pitcher back to the mound.

Menard’s gc is streaming video vs St Charles, BTW it’s not much of a view

They SHOULD have to start their playoffs at the same time as everyone else though and should have their championship games a week or two ahead of the rest. Imagine if Divisions IV and V had finished last weekend. That's 16 less teams to have to accommodate and 10 less games to have to be finished... that would have made it a whole lot easier to adjust for the weather that has happened this week.

There used to be separate state tournaments for every class… 5A brought 8 teams to Turchin, Zephyr Field, or Denham Springs for example, 4A was in Monroe, 3A in Crowley, 2A in I think Hammond? and 1A, B, and C all were in Alexandria

Before that you still had some championship games on home fields

5A was in New Iberia when I first covered it. Rummel had a pitcher named Thomas Diamond. That’s all I remember

Which games, the largest margin three run in between District loss to a pedestrian Chalmette, or the two run losses to Curtis, Northshore???

Yeah, I already called him out on that, and he still hadn't responded...

What games were those? Their worst lost this year was to Chalmette by three runs, the rest of their losses were either one or two runs..

I’ve walked into there before

Pitched against, and beat Chalmette in 04. Turnage, Collins, and Miller (Ram) were tough

Minor quibble - the rain delay didn’t affect STM too badly. In fact, the only inning where they scored a run was right after the restart of the game.

What STM didn’t handle well was the Weimer kid who pitched the complete game for E. D. White. He threw three pitches for strikes, never let a lead off man reach base and struck out 12.

Hats off to EDW. They’d have won that game in perfect weather at any time of day, with that kid on the mound.

Did he go play a position and then come back or just been in for 9?

He stayed in the field after throwing 47 or so pitches. Returned and threw around 60 more. Ashworth. They rode his arm in the playoffs

Sent a runner home from second base with one out. He got thrown out by the RF. They also bunted with one out and the bases loaded into a FC force out at home

I was just watching on phone as we have buddy ball tonight but the shallow ball hit into right and he sent him from 2nd and was easy out at home. Would have been bases loaded I believe with only 1 out in 10th
